Well, let me end this thread once and for all...if that's even remotely possible.
American men can date whoever the hell they want, without any complaining from their female counterparts, who most likely would have never given them the light of day in the first place anyway. And the facts are, Asian women are more attractive and don't work so hard on getting fat and ugly like SOME American women I know. They're not so quick on the trigger to judge and have strong family values, which would lead to the feminists to bit*h about how foreign women are submissive, servants to American men, only dating them for the chance of a green card, etc, real BS crap because they're very jealous.
Feminists, give it up, you lost! And the American men who have chosen BETTER types of women are the winners. So tuck your butt off the computer and feed your cats because that's the only companionship you'll ever get for the rest of your pathetic lives. It's YOUR fault that you can't find any good men, not the foreign women.  | |

Posted: 7/4/2007 8:09:42 PM | As a newly single Asian woman I would hope the man I date (Caucasian or otherwise) is dating me because of me, not my ethnicity. I'm not naive either, the initial attraction was looks, but there has to be more beyond that.
With that said, society also factors into the equation. Why not? It tells us everything else... What in, what's out. What's hot, what's not. What's attractive, what's acceptable.
In high school I've had crushes on a few jocks, but never pursued it. That could have been because I moved from SoCal to ATL, Deep South (can I say- Major Culture Shock!). In college, I didn't want to feel like the "mail-order bride" or the "me-so-horny" chick! So I dated Asian guys. (Or older men = "gold-digger" but that's another topic)
Now I decide what's acceptable & appropriate & hot!

Granted I haven't read every post, but I DID post in response to your other post about white women degrading Asian women. I read that and was shocked, and even moreso by your post that it's a matter of jealousy. I've read your other posts and thought you were a wise woman, I have to say that's changed.
Maybe you're just ticked at some "white" women's attitude, but whoever downgraded any Asian women as another female isn't representative of ALL white/Caucasian women.
I have friends, male/female of very diverse backgrounds and many dear female friends who are Asian. I don't think of them as Asian, just wonderful ladies, dear friends, that I share a lot with and relate to.
I hope for your sake you aren't really caving into finding a great person to share your life with as a competition, and women as being jealous of each other and catty.

I'm truly sorry you'd even think much less feel that. I am almost stunned...don't know what to say, but if this "standard" came from reading or talking to any Causcasians, again please know they're not representative!
I'm almost embarrassed to be a white woman and even post on this thread. But I shouldn't be, who the heck is perpetuating this crap!
Sorry but reading this does get me a bit steamed. I know it's not me, but it does get a little frustrating to read this BS. Just know that talking to a handful of people doesn't represent a true crossection of a gender, race, religion...ethnicity...or anything else.
If you prefer to date Asian women, then just say so, it's a preference we all have them, and I wouldn't put anyone down or God forbid JUDGE them for doing so!! We all like what we like and attraction isn't always logical. Just be honest in your preferences, and if you can find it within you be kind in doing so. No reason to be hateful or hurtful to anyone who may fall outside your preference.

Maybe you missed to read the rest of the forum who called us names, even part of our anatomy was humiliated by caucasian women, called us yellow, have little pu---- etc. Downgrading us to this forum really made me really mad, I do have a lot of caucasian women but they are not like those women who downgrade us here. Like you I do have a lot of friends of male and female caucasian. I would advice you to read all of them and then you will understand my attitudes on this forum. You seems to be a nice woman , if I upset you I apologized for my action, but its true, some are mean nasty and cruel.
