I don't think trading need be part of it.
BUT...we all do things fo rour partners that we dont' get physical pleasure from (beyond the happiness that comes from giving pleasure). I enjoy giving a bj...
but there are plenty of things I do or have done for partners that don't give me physical pleasure. And I don't do them "in trade". I do them because that's part of sex. That's part of sharing pleasure.

I don't understand the oxymoron when you say you have done for partners that didn't give you pleasure. Then to say that you are sharing pleasure, I don't see what's shared if you are sore and in pain or it's just not your thing. I don't have a lot of sex partners.
