You just have to accept that women are insecure and need a big tall man to make them feel secure and protected. Women are essentially full of fear when they are out of the house on their own. They need a tall man to offer them that reassurance that no-one will harm them.

No, some of us just think some of them are hot.

It is true that women like tall men because they "percieve" them as also having larger penises. This is nothing to be bashful about. Wether or not this is the case; well you would need to ask a woman with plenty of experience of both tall guys and small guys.

You don't have to be tall to be a big d1ck.

I know fairy ellen thats what I wonder! I know we cant always help who we fall in love with but why do some tall men only want a petite lady. And indeed why some petite ladies look for a 6ft 3 plus man, mind boggles how they get into some positions, contorsions much?! Same height or man a little taller works best in my experience.

I was one of the first female head doormen in this country I'm one of the few female head doorpeople to run a team of over 50 and the only female security person to control a sec force (TRIANGLE) for not only homelands but creamfields and V and many more.

GOOGLE.... dee foreman go to S.F.U. K and you will see i am on the fighter ranking panel and have been involved in MMA since it started, my ex partner and i, andy foreman along with another fight promoter Paddy Mooney were the first people to being cage fighting to the uk. I have balls men wish they had, on this forum men often talk down to women, i look, note, laugh and move on.. because im not insecure but when i read this crap i think/////// are you on my planet? prob not. Please dont act like women need protection, i like a taller man does this mean im incapable of looking after myself? no.

My god short men are sooooooooooooooooo insecure.

Just because you can handle yourself. doesn't mean that non of the others want a man to protect them. Or that he has to be a fighter or hard nut to be able to protect her.

I have a relative that runs security at a broad street club, whilst she's competent, she's not invincible but then she's short and probably more likely to be able to dodge a drunken blokes fist. They do say the bigger they are the harder they fall.

I still say height doesn't matter I never even considered it till I came on this site, my exex was 3 inch taller ex was 2 inch shorter.

Never dated a man shorter than me...mind you i'm just under 5'3 so thats probably why.
So worried about offending the short men BUT... i prefer a taller man, the shortest man i have dated is about 5ft8. About 5ft1o is my favourite height, makes me feel a bit more secure and no i am not sure why. Maybe its because my Dad was so tall, he was 6ft4 and my Ma was 4ft11 and so i was used to seeing a tiny woman with a gigantic man?

I'm only 5 ft 2 and wouldn't find a man shorter than me attractive, it's just preference, i don't mind tall men though.

I agree with others that it is mainly just personal preference.

I like both short and tall men. But I have had a few unpleasant experiences of being chatted up by shorter men who seem to make a big deal about me being taller than them (I'm 5'11''), they seem to imply I do it on purpose somehow to make them feel shorter, and they can get quite offensive. So this has put me off short men, but I see now reading the responses it should really just put me off idiots.

Hands up..yes I do prefer a man to be taller than me..but thats out of personal preference!
I'm just over 5ft 7 and I don't think I would feel very comfortable towering over a guy in my heels!

seeing as i am quite fickle (and shallow) i am going to say not too tall and not too short. Been on dates with both. One was 6ft 4 and the other was 5ft 5 and to be honest i didnt like the way they looked beside me. A man should be an accessory to show me to my best advantage

It's funny how we're all different:

I'd feel extremely comfortable with a woman towering over me in her heels...

(provided, of course, she was careful where she stuck her heels!)

I'm 6 foot 4 and always attract short women?? We are talking no taller than 5 foot 4. I read once it's linked to the caveman/woman in us i.e I will be a better protector ... little do they know that I'm half chicken on my mother's side!

I am 5 ft 5 (3/4) and I will be having 2 operations to lengthen my legs.
The first op will take me to 5 ft 8 and the 2nd to 5 ft 9 (1/2)
99% of women will not fancy a guy shorter than them. That is my belief. Either I accept that or I do something about it. I am doing the operation for my own self esteem rather than to get women. I dont want to be tall. I just hate being short. To me its simply wrong. Its not psychological becuase Ive tried every treatment under the sun and my opinion has not changed in the slightest.

They do say the bigger they are the harder they fall
.

I think that's a bit of a fallacy in all honesty. I find generally , that the bigger they are , the harder they hit !

males and females all have preference in what there partner looks like,it doesnt make us shallow it makes for a better relationship if the people are both attracted to each other, and people should in this day and age be able to pick who they want to date on whatever criteria they want,it is 2009 for god sake,i think its t do with feeling protected and safe, the female whether unconsiously or on purpose wants to date a taller and bigger guy who she fells makes her feel protected, applause:

Good grief Shabba how shallow do you think women are :(

Cargy bent down to talk to me, I thought that was sweet and amusing

I am 5'2 so most men are taller than me, I dont appear to have any problems with a mans height

Perhaps you can't help who you fall in love with. My first boyfriend was 6 foot 3, I'm 5 foot 1, I wasn't looking for a big strong man to protect me, I just happened to fall in love with him. My last long term relationship was with someone who was also tall, that was just coincidence.

Lets face it, at my height most men are going to be taller than I am.
