Posted: 6/12/2009 4:29:35 PM | I am single because I was a late bloomer. I didn't really start dating seriously until my mid 20's. I was just not that interested in girls when I was younger.. I was more focused on my career.
Really though.. people who say they are looking for a 'long term relationship' need to try casual dating first. I think that's something you should grow into and play it day by day until you both decide "yes, this is working, you rock, lets me bf/gf!".. etc..
I date a fair amount and I suspect, at some point, I'll settle down into an LTR.. but not unless she meets my standards. I seem to do OK with getting date, so I will keep dating until I find that woman who impresses the hell out of me.. my feelings and standards might change with age, sure.. but that's how I feel at this moment in time. | |

Honestly, if you' re going to criticize someone's spelling, at least be sure you r spelling and/or grammar passes muster..
OT: I am no longer single, but was for over 2 years. By choice. My last relationship ended badly, and I chose to take the time to reflect and perhaps learn from my mistakes in an effort to not repeat them. Did it work? I think so..I am now involved with a man who is the complete opposite of every guy I've ever dated, and I have changed and grown in many positive ways. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot.
You're young Opie, and have many years of failed relationships ahead of you. Sorry if I sound pessimistic, but I am a realist. You are also a parent already, and many guys your age just don't want that kind of responsibility. Hell, they don't want it at my age. I wish you luck darlin', and my advice to you is to stop worrying about finding Mr. Right (he doesn't exist) and just have some fun. Life is far too short not to.

I read your profile -- I never even said you were looking for JUST friends (platonic)...
... but it's contradictory to put "Friends" as what you're looking for, and claim to be looking for someone to jump into dating with, or that guys "play games". When you look for people on the "friends" (no dating; no commitment; no romantic emotion), you can't call someone else 'playing games', because there's no guy/girl games to play! "Friends" means, (a) Platonic; just friends, or (b) I am not looking to date you after we first hang out; no strings, no expectations, no romance, no obliged availability. | |

Posted: 6/13/2009 9:39:42 PM | the last 2 exes were completely wrong for me... it made me realize i was totally incompatible with them. urghh. the more i spent time 'looking' for a relationship in the past, the people who i attracted were completey wrong for me. this time, i'm not searching or seeking it, i will enjoy my life to the fullest and be the person I can be for the next person. hope, faith and love! :)

I've pretty much just been held to a series of short term relationships. some have been with incredible women, some not so incredible. either way it's the path I've chosen, and I hate to say it but I love it.
