Orton should be the top dog, if not Batista. I seriously dont know how anyone can like Cena. The cena era is tiresome and utterly predictable. Sadly, wrestling is going downhill bc the writers dont know how to make it exciting anymore. | |

Chris Benoit, Curt Henning, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle and a whole lot more are considered good wrestlers, not just good but GREAT. John Cena is not in the same leauge as these guys. | |

I'm not even close to being a Cena fan but I wouldn't say the guy is horrible in the ring. He has had some strong matches in the recent past.
Now horrible is someone like Goldberg or Hogan and yes Hogan was horrible he only had two great matches in his career. (Ultimate Warrior and HBK) | |

Posted: 7/5/2008 4:03:47 PM | Thats because both of them carried the match and Hogan just did his tiresome entrance (few mins wasted) and threw opponent from ringpost to ringpost, then the usual Hogans down BUT wait !!!Look he is coming back (after the ref does the usual raising of the hand)and then comes the shaking of the head and the Strong Can't Wrestle Hogan rises and Well we all know the Rest,
Hogan was at the top of getting Wrestlemania off the ground and it was watchable
when we all believed(before KAYFABE).
And l don't like HBK but l do have to agree with you on this occasion.
Sorry guys for dipping in and out but l do like wrestling Forums and don't always
have the time to get involved when you are all chatting on the Forum in real time

He did was he was told to do in the ring. Oh, and another good bout against The Rock, when it comes to big bouts, he delivered. You people really do not have a clue about wrestling and how it works. To make a long story short, I do.
Goldberg did what he was supposed to do also, he had the intesity that most wrestlers do not have. Cena is not that bad, he is a good employee for the company and tries his best in and out of the ring. | |

and people say Flair wrestled the same match.
Goldberg- You couldn't even sell a PPV based on his match alone b/c I can only think of one of his PPV matches that lived up to the hype and that was against the Rock and guess who carried that one. Also, like hell Goldberg did what he supposed to do. If he would have sold more and learn a few more wrestling moves he would have been more entertaining. That's why his character had a short shelf life.
You people really do not have a clue about wrestling and how it works. To make a long story short, I do.

Posted: 7/7/2008 10:41:20 AM | Goldberg's character was just to be a person who destroyed people, with him trying to sell, etc, would not have worked. The short shelf life was because he could no longer stand Vince McMahon and wrestling and decided to leave when his contract was up. He did sell PPV's as he was about the hottest thing is wrestling besides Stone Cold in 1998......also blame WCW for sabotaging his career also.
Flair wrestled the same match, but it worked and I loved it, it worked for Hogan, biggest long term draw in US wrestling history. Hogan would tell you himself he was not the best worker, but who cares, it is a job and it is about making money and being a superstar and drawing. Dean Malenko was a great worker, but could not draw fleas to a flea market.
A friend of mine, god rest his soul, who wrestled, said yeah it is good to be a great worker, but it just comes down to being a superstar and a draw, and sometimes workrate means nothing. | |

Posted: 7/7/2008 11:29:58 AM | Cena tries, I think he just gets booed a lot because most guys over 30 cannot relate to him in any way, plus Gewritz writes some lame material for him to say in interviews, actually Cena can cut a great promo ab-libbing. He has had some great main events against Edge, HHH, Umaga, and Orton. He did have one great match against JBL a long time ago.....Me, not a big fan, but he does not bother me either.
I think Edge has been incredible on promos the last 2 weeks, especially cutting a promo on Ross last Monday night. | |
