| Which is worse... Posted: 7/13/2009 5:29:51 PM | yeh understand that mir,, my own situation is having to deal with abandonment, real abandonment so i know what it means,,,, but that neither here nor there,, ie my predicament,, not too many people pass comment to me anyway, suppose they wudnt mite be awkward, but my own late mother said to me once," dont worry u can do it us women hav done it 4 100s of years, just make sure u do ur best, that will always be good enough" ,, it was that statement " us women hav done it for 100s of years" that stuck with me, it seems to be far more common 4 men to hav abandoned their kids, they havent that maternal tie that the mom has,,,for any person be it mother r father to abandon their own flesh and blood is hard to comprehend, they would have to have a serious underlying problem of severe nature,, but gettin back to ur question, think the reason theirs bit more shock bout it bein the mother, probably reverts back to the mom carrying that child for 9 months, feelin it move , kick, feelin everthing for that child, and the birth itself is an experience ill never understand, but can only imagine that unbreakable bond that shud be there btween mother and child. i quite agree with pedro's post on this matter, the active parent thats there 4 the child will always be their stability, their rock, be it man or woman...... | |
