Posted: 7/14/2005 11:49:54 AM | I know that when I'm up and I'm standing high over the crowd and , I'm contolling the night with blazing leads and cool slutty rhythms. I sing lead as well and when I see a hottie in the front row or at a close table I know that all I have to do is make eye contact and sing directly to her and I know she's feeling it , At that moment I have made her special , If I play my cards right after the nights over she will remember that and I've got a date for breakfast .

Posted: 7/15/2005 1:01:29 PM | yeah, girls are real suckers for singing to them on stage. I'm not the singer of my band, but I do back-up vocals & it's the same case for back-ups, as well.
The ultimate: playing acoustic guitar for a girl on a beach somewhere. If you're good enough to add some singing, you're golden.
I think girls are attracted to the mystique of a rock star. for guys, it doesn't really matter; as long as the girl's HOT. | |

IF A MAN SANGS TO ME AND IS GOOD THEY USULEY HAVE ME THEN AND THERE. THE WAY IT MAKES YOU FEEL AT THAT MOMENT AS THOW YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THERE, THE REST OF THE ROOM GOES SILENT AND YOU AND HER ARE THE ONLY ONE IT SEEMS IS THERE. BUT I DO SANG TO THE MEN TO AND IT IS THE SAME FOR THEM

I love musicians but I won't solely date within that catergory. Seems sexy to me for a guy to love music as much as I do (even tho I can't play a REAL instrument). Musically inclined is a HUGE turn on for me..I love being sang/sung to...even if it's just goofin off | |

Posted: 9/19/2005 10:08:33 AM | Heres kinda the way I've seen it, Yup we do get more attention than the other guys in the bar, not cuz were any better or worse ...were on stage, only 4 or 5 of us, were the focal thing of the night, thats our job, at some point in the night every one in the bar looks at the stage !, cuz musics fun, fun to listen to, to dance to, and to watch, the rest of people in the place blend in with the general popupation pretty much.
And also, I think any one who is artistic thinks a little different than other people, outside the box so to speak, people in general find it interesting, and yup.....we tend to party.
I'm not sure why some people look up to us, were no different than anyone else, were just lucky enough to be able to do what we love, entertain and be creative, so it happens to happen in front of lots of people, partying. | |

Posted: 9/19/2005 10:24:09 AM | I used to date a man who was a member of a well known Canadian Rock band. They were popular in the late 70's early 80's. When I met him and started to see him, he was no longer in the music business, and I had no idea who he was other then a man I was interested in and he was interested in me.
During our first date, we discussed what we did in the past...past jobs and stuff, and he told me he used to play bass guitar and keyboards for a band. I still did not clue in because it was not important to me. I was into the man and who he is currently. When I found out the band and realized one of their songs was one of my favourite songs, I was more proud then anything to know that he had that wonderful accomplishment. I liked the worldliness and how well he conducted himself during his rocker years by not getting involved heavily into drugs and alcohol. (One of his band mates did die from drug abuse) Now when I hear that song or any of their other songs on the radio, I smile to myself....and remember him with fondness and respect. | |

I am drawn to anyone who can play an instrument. It shows they are in touch with themselves and their emotions and not so caught up in ageneric world.
that and the long hair rocks my world!!!
Dave Navarro, Steve Tyler, Michael Hutchence, etc., all have a sexual persona and prescence about them like no other so that too is a draw.
oh my god, I need to go have a cold shower..

Posted: 5/14/2006 12:11:38 PM | Was married to a drummer. Would rather help pack up a harmonica than a double bass drum kit at 4 in the mornin' when the rest of the band is already home sleepin. 
As for why they like them.....maybe partly living through their dreams, maybe partly they get special attention that the others don't get, maybe the chance to be around the music all the time. Maybe the diet of peanut butter sandwiches and popcorn when they are first out on the road paying their dues. Coulda bin the whiskeyyyyyyyy...mighta bin the gin.........coulda bin the three or four six pack..........I don't know................
Guess I better keep my day job.
