I've been interested in a few women on this site. After a couple of emails, I've asked that we speak on the telephone. I even asked one to meet me for drinks, just for some talk and some laughs.
One woman was very honest, and told me that she just isn't interested in me. I was graetful for that. Another was to meet me for a drink, and didn't show up at all.
The other three times, I've gotten a reply about "not being ready", or "I'm not sure what I want", and the email stops.
With three years of psychology in college, these replies make me think that the women are either in unhappy relationships and looking to see what else is available, or trying to tell me they're not interested in my feelings.
Frankly, I'd rather be told they're not interested. Being in a relationship, it appears they have low self esteem and don't feel worthy of getting out of what they like for fear of getting into something they don't believe they deserve.
There are really two questions. The first is why list your objective as dating, when that isn't what you want?
The second question is Do you feel offended when a guy responds to your "not ready" or "not sure" email with his honest opinion? | |

Yeah, they all have odours but, there is a difference between odour and gut churning stench like rotten fish. I know the smell he is speaking of because I have experienced it myself and its not nice at all. A sundae would not mask the smell he is talking about, not even deodorant or odour killer would mask that smell...I am surprised that he needed to get that far though to smell it, its an odour that you can smell through clothing. disgusting. | |

There is not much she can do about. We both went to the doctor together, it was just her body chemistry.We tried flavoured, lubricants that smell. Perfume does not work because it tastes horrible and will sting her down there.

As far as the remarks about men being pigs and finding women disposable, the POF women I've dated have, without exception, wanted sex by AT LEAST the 3rd date, if we made it to the 3rd date.

OP I'm no doctor but since you've had every doctor on POF give you the answer already I think it prudent of you to get a 183rd opinion, so here's mine.
A few people have an odor to them that they cannot mask for the very reason they have the odor to begin with...their chemical make up. That is why the same perfume will smell different on different women. Some might be an overall body odor, some as in this case seems to be around the time of her period so I doubt it's an STD but just a natural occurence. Many STD's that you would get from a woman have no signs until they appear on you some time later. Women's periods differ quite a bit in smell, duration, flow, or amount of time inbetween peoriods.
As the woman stated...
"She tells me that it always smells that way, right after her period. She says she trys to wash up in there, and uses some of the feminine products, but the smell always comes right after her period, and lasts 4 or 5 days."
Again this is a common occurence, but I thought from your writing that you would be smart enough to find the answer for yourself while keeping it romantic at the same time. One of the things I've been reading is the Kama Sutra and there are mutual cleaning rituals that by themselves sound quite erotic. My recent lover,although he has other issues, has taught me about spending some time in the bathroom washing, brushing teeth and getting ready in general. It could be diet,or something as simple as not drinking enough water. I needed a prescription for an antiperspirant about 10 years ago,it was embarrassing.
If you are done you're done,but in my world that kind of connection doesn't come along all that often, and it's worth a shot. Also, it never hurts to be kind and understanding,as well as honest.
