| dating other races Posted: 6/15/2009 11:12:32 AM | I prefer to have only white people in my country, I prefer to have only white people in my swimming pool etc etc etc..See?...subtle use of words...
Actually, I would like to date a woman of a diferent colour than me (and have done before), on here have made a few PMs but no responses yet..Oh, well...

| dating other races Posted: 6/15/2009 11:19:31 AM | | I think its similar to the guys (or girls) prefering blondes or brunettes syndrome.....Think you will only be with a blonde then a georgous brunette makes you change your mind... But everyone to their own. :) | |

| dating other races Posted: 6/15/2009 2:46:31 PM | I couldn't give a monkey's arse what colour or where someone was from if I liked him as a person, found him appealing I'd date him and that's that.
There are issues which can arise from intercultural relationships which are not necessarily due to the racial differences. You can have a culture clash with someone from a different social class to yourself or a northerner could have a culture clash with a southerner.
People are people and men and women have preferences and 'looks' that attract them. Always have always will, fortunately for everyone we are all different and so are the tastes of the men and women we mix with.

Clearly the OP can't be accused of being racist(there have been previous threads)
In that case, you're comments are contradictory, as happens too often in matters of 'racism'.
You acknowledge that the OP cannot be accused of racism, yet also claim that he can be " considered at best very odd or at worst racist by a lot of people." That means that he CAN be accused of racism by some people!
, but my comment was aimed at anyone with colour preferences
Well, the OP HAS expressed a 'colour' preference, yet you also claim that he cannot be 'racist' for doing so.

| dating other races Posted: 6/16/2009 1:36:03 AM | I dont think the OP is racist for stating that he wouldnt even consider dating a white women - I can kind of empathise; i havent dated a male from my own ethnicity since i was 17. and nearly 15 years later i would find it difficult to date someone of my own race. Unlike the OP however it isnt something i have written off completely (not knocking you or anything OP )
The person i date isnt determined by their colour, but by the atraction i have to the person, our mutal interests etc....
Each to their own i say....

I was just pointing out that he will be accused of being racist by some - whether he IS racist or not, because as you say peoples perception of racism differs.
I totally agree that people are often too quick to call "racist", but when someones race is a major (even deciding) factor in how you perceive someone I don't think you can blame people for coming to this conclusion and in many cases it will probably be right.

I couldn't give a monkey's arse what colour or where someone was from if I liked him as a person, found him appealing I'd date him and that's that. Nor me but I am a sucker for snow white skin no matter what race its on and looks wise I prefer English, esp Welsh and Scottish, also Swedish, Norwegian, finish area girls. It's not racist, it's looksist . Hmmm nice Scottish girl with Ginger or dark hair snow white skin freckles. It's just a look, one of a few I like. All this fuss about a preference. We can't help what turns us on. Yes sometimes I see a girl that's dark skinned or really that tanned I like, there's one on here.
