Get your own place before thinking about dating. You are pushing 40.

Parents, even more than kids, kill sex drive. It's a simple fact. Think of Everybody Loves Raymond or any other dysfunctional family who lives under the same roof. How can you both feel sexy when Ma is in the other room complaining about her corns or what-not? Gotta get your own pad.

After reviewing some of the postings in here, I’d have to say “where’s the love folk’s”?

Where should the love be? You threw yourself a pity party; if you wanted sympathy and little pats on the back saying "there, there, it's not your fault, women should seek you out and love you no matter what," you should have said so upfront.

Dang that's cold!!!! but it's the truth! dating in a way is like looking for a job. you can go on plenty on of inter views. but your not promised nothing. the most you can do is hope your the one there looking for..

OP - think it through here. You don't have a lot of money here - understandable, and let's say you find a woman who has no issue with that. So, you want some time alone with her, right.... just time to cuddle up in front of the TV, maybe watch a movie.... it is cheaper, and I am not even talking sex yet. Where do you think this is going to happen? The drive-in era is long gone... and she probably isn't going to want to go to her place if she has kids. So, by your living with your parents, you have effectively made the relationship move totally to her place....and most women are not comfortable with that.... especially in your age bracket.

Another thing you have to consider.... many men on these sites lie about being married... so if you DON'T take her to your place somewhere in the first few dates, you are married or hiding something.... it has happened to too many of us - sorry.

@13karat:

Bingo! I agree. OP needs to work on ironing out his problems and getting his act together before he dates anyone. He knows that the problems that he puts down is not just a problem to the women that just may date him, but a problem to himself also. Who can relax and date when they have such issues to deal with in their life?

Obviously, with enough time to build a relationship with someone he is dating, he will have to factor in sexual intimacy when the subject comes up. Where are they going 'to do it'? Certainly not in his folks' house, that would be disrespectful. And definitely not in his SO's house, if she has children. Going to the SO's house is one thing if he is in a committed relationship with her and maybe move in with her. But in relationships, anything is possible so bringing someone around her kids is a no no until their is some kind of commitment.

Also, he is not making it easier on himself because he shot himself down with his post. The negativity just comes through with every word of it.

To say that you don't have money to waste is to say that you don't see anybody on this site worth spending money on

No, I think he states this because his opinion may be that all women here are after money only.

And the walking dead? View my msn picture...that wins deadness hands down.
