| Debt Posted: 6/30/2009 4:59:12 PM | | Other than my mortgage which I paid off in just over a year I have had no debt...... or girlfriend for a long time. Coincidence? I don't think so. When I was steadily dating years ago my money flow was falling faster than I could earn it. Considering that the #1 reason for divorce is because of debt that only cements my partial argument. If people are in debt I would highly suggest they watch the tv show "till debt do us part", you'll learn from it. | |

| Debt Posted: 7/2/2009 2:27:15 AM | | I've never been in debt and have had to learn to live without debt. I've seen too many friends get their freedom taken away because of it. Also. I get chronic migraines so I go through periods where I can't work for awhile. I have to keep enough money saved so I can get by when things get bad. | |

| Debt Posted: 7/3/2009 3:47:22 PM | | Debt doesn't mean anything. I've got 30k of "good debt" in student loans @ 2.5%, but my net worth decent for my age. Would having a million in debt with 2.5 mil in bank make someone undatable? I kinda think you're asking the wrong question. | |

| Debt Posted: 7/3/2009 11:48:52 PM | Debt free doesnt always automatically imply good credit - could just mean the bankruptcy has cleared the debt and the credit is in the toilet.
Good credit doesnt always mean debt free - because he/she could be mortgaged to the eyeballs but making minimum monthly payments.
Anyone who is over 30, with an unblemished credit rating, and is debt free was either
A) never married B) Is still married C) Never moved out of parents house D) Divorced with either Donald Trump for an ex husband or .... an EXCEPTIONAL lawyer!
How any of that relates to going out for dinner is beyond me .... other then you are wondering if she will require surf n turf - or if you can drive through Taco Bell moments before you attempt to hit it and run for the border!
(I hope those who read this recognize humour and good nature) | |
