Posted: 10/25/2009 8:40:05 AM | When you are young you have time for one at a time lol but when you are my age it's more economical to juggle as long as you can be discreet. I date more than one at once but I don't sleep with more than one at once. I think that's fair.
I never get emails becuase I am hidden but if I was looking I'd still be hidden and go fishing for the man I want so......

Not to contradict but lessons can be discouraging as you can see and time tends to catalyze our critical requirements =)
Anyways, there are all types out there who will eat you alive, this is nothing.
I can understand why you question her disclosing competition. Was this really innocent honesty, to bask in her new found popularity, or was it to antagonistically entice.
You won't be missed if you politely disappear by the sounds of things so you can quit while you are ahead to surprise than reinforce if this actually works for her. Why gamble to determine if they a flirt who take flight at the whim of any new adventure? What would she say if you wrote back thanking her while indicating that you have found some one else? Not many play silly games, thank goodness.
If she isn't tripping over her feet to learn more about you than others, find some one who is more anxious than complacent or giddy. Go to some one else's arms that are open not crossed deciding. They usually know if you are what they want before you even do so you can't lose what you never had anyway.
See all the profiles here? Lots of different types sizes colors and flavors to choose from. Don't pick the dispassionate or antagonistic. Why get burned standing in line to reinforce their interviews. Don't get down when they try and strike the ego. Let them attack some one else's =)
The vast, vast majority of girls are really, really nice so not to worry (as are most women =) but I wouldn't reinforce anything that was unsuitable or unstable from the get go. Never pursue anyone who does not have the potential to be exactly what you want or this will only waste each others time .
As a by far greater lesson, if they seem like they are hiding something or insecure, they usually are!
You are learning... stay tough, hang in there ... keep reading, keep working on it, you will win... after all for every jackass there's a Jill I say. Stay away from the nasty ones =) | |

I have never gotten a shytstorm of emails, but quite a bit (so I thought) haha. A friend of mine signed up, Blond, younger than I am (and I think hotter) and guys must have agreed, she closed her account because she got over 200 emails in two days. It was rather insane there was like 13 pages of emails. There was no way she could keep up or even attempt to respond to them all. I saw her account I know she was tellin the truth I about fell over. Hahahaha. One thing is to put a 'code word/phrase' somewhere in your profile description and tell them to use that as the message subject line so you know they had to actually READ your profile before they messaged. Then you can only read those ones and simply delete the rest without reading. | |

Posted: 10/25/2009 12:19:27 PM | You really don't have a solid relationship foundation until they are mad about you after at least two months. Until then, don't count on much.
If they can date multiple people, more power to them... what's wrong with having more choices? Plus, if you are dating more than one, and one rejects you, you have another love interest to fall back on, a backup date, so the rejection does not hurt as bad.
Alternately, if you know what you are doing and can read people well and only continue to date healthy minds who like you.... and therefore, you have a lower chance of being dumped... and you can get out before they reject you, most of the time... great.
Both approaches can work well. | |

Posted: 10/25/2009 6:00:26 PM | It is like anything else it is a numbers game and presentation. What else is the internet all about or chat room for that matter? So it is a glorfied personal ads at the end of the day.
Either you have the confidence to review what ya do research out the possibilities and come up with a solution. Or quit? I personally keep working at things until I get it. Sorry that has been at least my life and usually the way it goes.
I been here a few weeks and consider it a learning experience. I just don't let the non-responses get me down and I try to figure out why they are not responding.

Posted: 10/25/2009 8:19:02 PM | Normally I get a few a day, but there are days there aren't any. It would be easier to say per month, and that's probably about 20 I would say. Since I'm not here for dating, I answer all my mail politely unless it's offensive, striking up conversations most of the time. Those that are here for some "game" usually don't answer back once they find out I have children. They will just read/delete... isn't that odd? lol 
Anyway, as for your situation OP, perhaps after talking to you on the phone she realized you weren't someone she wanted to meet up with after all. | |
