Getting the Depo shot for birth control stops periods, and is my fave; no remembering a pill every day, just a shot every 3 months

Of course, that's probably because he had no sex drive so I had to take advantage when I could...(not that the sex was that good - it never was).
But now that I"m single again, even when I have a boyfriend, I really don't want to have sex while on my period. It's like, somehow I don't want him to see the mess or something, I dunno...
I suppose if I end up in a long term relationship I'll be ok with it? Again, i don't know.
I think part of it is that when married, you let the partner see you at your best and worst. But when dating, you try to preserve the image of a perfect, sexy chick or something... And having sex on my period? Is def NOT sexy to me.
Plus, hey, asking him to wait a week once in a while isn't *that* big of a deal...just make the joining all that much better when the week is up! | |

As for the Depo shot and it stopping the period, yea that was great, but the side effects it had on me otherwise was enough to make me stop and just take the pill.

I did however jump in the shower right after and I am very clean down there....douching regularly. However, that was when I had periods. Had to get the plumbing removed, so now I dont get periods.
I would not allow my X to go down on me while I was on the rag. That just grossed me out. Yuck! But just a regular bang, go for it.
I am sure if you guys threw on a condom you would never know the difference.
