I don"t think thats its wrong to invite the kids. I used to go with my dad to his PWP ( parents without partners) events and had alot of fun. My parents are divorced also when I was younger. Me and at least two of my daughters (ages 18 & 14) and my new granddaughter (4 mo) will be there. They are curious to meet some of my dancing friends  .
Looks to be a fun time. I'm trying to convince a friend of mine that is also a fellow POF fishy to join us. He is trying to relaunch his DJ business, has all the equipment, just not the clientele yet.
BTW, I and my 18 yr old will be interested in the volleyball!

To each is own but dont be afraid to bring your kids! everyone are adults here and I am sure we will all show respect for the younger ones!
Jim and I are working on making some signs and will mark the roads for everyone to see!

Posted: 6/25/2009 10:44:21 PM | | Princess I don't think of you as being rude just not well informed about bringing kids to this picnic....it is a picnic with friends a group of people getting together and enjoying games and each other I can see you saying you didn't want your kids to go to a dance, even though that is also about friendship and dancing .......have you ever gone to a pof dance ....it's all about friendship and so is this picnic....I am bringing my grandsons age 15 to 8 .....I can't wait so they can see my friends and meet the ones they haven't.....Ron you definately will get a cake for your birthday.......Sherry look forward to meeting your daughters....especially if they are as great as their mom.....WoooooHoooo Paaaaaaarttttty..... thank you guys it is going to be a great time...... | |

I am still not sure about going. For one my allergies are a nightmare this year. I cannot get rid of the chest congestion from the molds. Ugh! Hitting the doc up soon.
And since it is my birthday the night before, and I don't have birthdays on Saturday nights too often....we will have to see. But I do know...my kids are not likely to be coming. Those little buggers went and grew up on me. Soooo......They don't exactly live at home ya know! lol | |

sounds like a great event. i will bring my watergun and hammock. are there two trees close enough for me to tie it too? i have a smokey joe, flip flops, sunscreen, flyswatter, cooler x 2, coals n fluid........am i forgetting something? oh yeah, water balloons personalized with names on it....if any one was shunned with a disrespectful diregard i will 'sell' you a balloon with that persons name on it? and for an extra amount laurie will deliver it, if you know what i mean lol looking forward to seeing everyone again!! | |

jim thanks for the fyi on the bodeans! they don't let you take in lawn chairs...maybe we could get a pof blanket chain going in front of the stage. they are awesome. north mississipi allstars are at the ribfest friday in naperville...so much to do. so little time!!
laurie,,what do you think an ice cold 'hard to break' water balloon would be worth? maybe we could barter balloons for watermelons. hows your bike? hope you've been enjoying it!!
