Their is a good festival this Friday night July 3 as the Bridgeview Music fest at Toyota Park will be happenning. 2 good bands of the past will be performing there Friday night July 3rd as "Billy Squier" and "Starship featuring Mickey Thomas" will be jamming. Remember the song "We built this City on Rock n Roll" sung by Starship. Well their will be many other good hits played by these two bands. Only $10.00 admission. Everyone..If you looking for a good band to see, come on out to Toyota Park in Bridgeview located at 71st & Harlem ave. | |

Actually my name means "rebellious" so I've been known to break the rules...... a lot, but I don't want to cause trouble for the group. So, "Drinks" means w/ or without alcohol? Also, I will bring an appetizer or dessert to share with everyone. NO, not "those" kind of brownies!!!! I'm a "good" girl!!  ( ) Hey, I'm a Gemini! I can't help it!!! | |

I've been to many picnics in forest preserves where you can bring in alcohol..kegs, cans, bottles etc but alcohol containers must be disposed in the garbage cans...no littering of alcohol. Cops will check forest preserves from time to time to see if their is underage drinking. | |

My county doesn't allow alcohol or dogs w/out permits. I'm not sure if Molly, my Rat Terrier, will join me. She's pretty hyper & thinks she's 100 lbs instead of 10 lbs! | |

Yes i am getting a permit for this event!
It should be in the mail any day now!
That is why its important that we all follow the Forest preserve Rules!
pets are allowed as long as they are leashed!
No glass , recyle, dispose of charcoal in correct containers!
And finally clean up after ourselves!
Lets all go out and have a great time!
Jim and I agree that this is a great way to meet other fishies new and regulars!
Everyone sets their own budget!
Bring the kids and pets
There is no excuse for anyone not to attend this event
There is no cost to anyone except for what you eat or drink!
We will also have a covered shelter!! with picninc tables!!
The floor of the shelter is concrete! with port a johns very close!

Everyone...come on out to Chicago Ridge fest Friday night to see the "BoDeans", you'll be glad you did. I believe show-time will be around 8:30PM but not sure about the time so come early and choose your space. Jim. | |

Posted: 7/2/2009 6:04:49 AM | | "Tammy".....You can purchase tickets at the Toyota Park ticket counters...only $10.00 to see 4 bands...2 local and 2 well-known rock and roll bands of the past. In the evening either Billy Squier or Starship with Mickey Thomas should be staring somewhere around 7:00PM-7:30PM with the other band following about 9:00PM. Tammy..remember that song by Starship called "Find your way back to your heart" and also their song "We built this City on Rock N Roll". Those are 2 big hits that they will sing plus others. It should be a great time at this Bridgeview Music fest on Friday July 3 at Toyota Park which is located at 7100 S. Harlem. The 1st local band starts at 3:00PM and the gates open to the fest at 1:00PM. Everybody is welcome, so I hope to see some familiar faces there. Jim. | |

Thursday July 2 is "Heart", Friday July 3 is Sara Evans(Country & Western), Saturday July 4 is "Todd Rungren" and the group "War" and Sunday July 5 is the best day with "Huey Lewis & The News" and "Herman Hermits". I was supposed to be taking clients out to view homes tonight but they had to cancel. But I admit...I have been doing everything and going everywhere alone for about 7 or 8 years now. And it is getting old. So we shall see if I am up for it this weekend or not. | |

Posted: 7/2/2009 8:19:10 PM | I would love to see Jefferson Starship! My very 1st concert was Jefferson Airplane at the Broadmore Hotel in Colorado Springs. I was 12 & went by myself! My mom dropped me off & picked me up.
As for Super-soakers, ice water & women in T-shirts at the at the picnic, just remember guys, the women could get even & you know what happens to your "special parts" when they are doused in ice water! Water balloons don't do as much damage but you have to be sure to pick up all the pieces.
It sounds like it will be a lot of fun! I'm going to try to talk my 26 year old daughter into coming.

who's got all the toys? anyone with a supersoft volleyball? any superclose water for kayak riding? i tried to get a beach volleyball thing going at 'heart' at ribfest but the ball got hit about 3 times and 'disappeared....no fun
