Lol! Getting the green is the same in dating as in real life: waiting through the yellow and the red. . . .
For me, it began with a *real* opening email, from a guy who had *obviously* studied my profile, *obviously* liked the me there, and had *obviously* taken a bit of time to approach me. Made a couple of jokes, and told me a couple of things about himself not on his profile.
No picture, but a lovely mind. I laughed at the jokes, and answered. . . . More than a year and a half later, still laugh at the jokes, and answer. . . .

And I look for an intelligent, friendly face, nice eyes, and if he has those little crinkles around them, that's a real green...it means he smiles a lot!
Without a picture? A sense of humor, good natured, positive outlook.
When he writes me? Some indiction he spent some time reading my profile, asks me something so I have something to begin a conversation in an area that interests him.

i went out with a friend last night who said all these complicated and negative things about folks (no i care a lot for this friend)-- she was in a low and anxious space, tried to assist. BUT later i thought, gee heck i like being around people who value the good and like people and things that happen. | |

Had an email conversation all afternoon yesterday and there were so many of these I can't wait to meet this guy! Whether or not anything comes of it is imaterial, I had a great time! A great smile, one that lights up his face! Nice eyes, with those crinkles cause I think that makes the face more interesting! If there's facial hair, I like it nicely trimmed, if I'm kissing him I want to get to those lips! Kindness, honesty, imperfections, don't care if he can't dance and long as he does dance, you know? A love of life, and an appreciation of the difference between happiness and complacence. Someone who counts their blessings, even the little ones! A big hug!

There are six primary green lights you have to go through to reach the destination.
The first is a rather simple one and that is to hold her hand. If she holds yours then you have the first green light, if not then little is lost and move on.
The second comes after reading other road signs that will be clearly visible and that is an interest in you and what you say, a smile on her face. So the second green light is that first kiss which should see you both coming together is a slow planned way. A light kiss that gently massages the lips, then come away and see if her smile is now gone. A longer lingering kiss that again is light upon her lips that shows your gentleness.
