Posted: 7/2/2009 9:58:25 AM | Me too...Dec 99 and a few here again and off again. Had some great guys propose but I just wasnt ready. I AM NOW..Sick and tired of bein alone all the time, every holiday and weekends are bummers when my kids arent here, I feel like a 5th wheel even when im invited
I wanna DO SOMETHING for the 4th. so if you are with me, on that feeling. HIT me up. Not having much luck elsewhere . All the mail I get is for one night stands or all they wanna ask or tease about it sex. Well I love sex but I want a meaningful, hand holding , affectionate relationship and I wanna DO something with SOMEONE (other than just my kids) over this holiday weekend. I've been keeping busy with school, taking up new hobbies, catching up with old friends and family and of course dating. But I'm in no hurry, I'm content being independent and not relying on a partner for happiness. :D | |

Posted: 7/2/2009 10:35:09 AM | Hmmm....I have dated men, some for a few months or more so since it didn't work and only lasted months vs years does that still give me the status of 'single' I've often questioned that for myself....
I think if the question was " How long since your last serious relationship" then I'd feel more confident in answering 'Lucky Sleven' LOL | |

I've not had anyone melded into my mind fully for that long.
But today could be the end of that wait, or maybe tomorrow... how about the next day?

Dated a guy a few years later for 2 months only to find out that he was married. I e-confronted him while he was in Iraq. Last pseudo-relationship lasted less than 12 days when he told me "he was getting scared of getting hurt again." A few horrific, drama filled months later, he apologized for his behavior, we are now best friends. | |

Posted: 7/3/2009 10:31:48 PM | I divorced in 1991, after 15 years of marriage. I didn't date until the children were grown and gone from the home. I had a 2 yr relationship in 2001. That was the last relationship. When I came to POF is when I first wanted to date again.

Up until now I didn't feel the need to have a man. Recently, I have begun to miss having a significant other to share things with. On the up-side the next man who has me will have a born-again virgin with no lingering baggage--maybe a few battle scars but no "well my ex used to..." lol. I'm hopeful that one day I will meet a man that will want my trust and love and offer the same in-return.

Discovered I am not good at being single.
Some say that being single is awesome.. It is not.
Single is hard, empty,meaningless,and boring.
