| How long have you been single??? Whats the longest?

I still enjoy life. I have my family and nieces and nephews that are still young enough to want me around.
My daughter is 19 now and it has been fun becomming a confidant instead of a mother.
She teaches me alot.

I would just love to have a few really good girl friends, to do things with and would be satisfied.

Posted: 9/3/2009 9:51:15 PM | 2 years since last February. so 2.7ish years? and not a single date since then, not a sniff. lol. plus my last was awful! looking forward to a great girl :P
I don't seem to meet women anymore that I really click with, so I came here. And that was this March. True I'm only 22 but I'm hopeful :) And guess what! Not a sniff really :( changed my profile etc. But 6 months on here and nothing to show for it? Come on!

Broke up with my first boyfriend last year in.. March I think.. Then got into a relationship with my last boyfriend in October, but that didn't even last to Christmas....

I have some friends who seem to go from boyfriend to boyfriend in a few months, and I just don't get how they meet all these people? I don't think I could stand moving on quite that fast. But then, maybe they don't really invest themselves in their relationships the way I do.  | |

Posted: 9/4/2009 6:45:18 AM | I was married for 22 years, then in a relationship with my ex- boyfriend for 5 years which ended last October. (we did the on and off thing for a few months before it ended for good~ hence why my sign-up date on here was earlier)
I have adjusted to being single and would much rather be single than wish I were... but I REALLY miss being in a relationship. Especially this time of year! It's the 'nesting time' and the holidays are right around the corner! 
I have dated a lot but haven't found that *click* that makes me want to know the person better...  | |

Based on that criteria .... I was single for over 41 years until SHE moved in ......
She's a real b!tch, doesn't work or have any money but begs me to take her out all the time, sleeps half the day, doesn't cook but eats almost anything I cook, won't clean up after herself …..... and we've never, ever had sex.
You can call me crazy if you want …. but even given all of the above …... I wouldn't want to go back to being single ever again ........

Some say that being single is awesome.. It is not. Single is hard, empty,meaningless,and boring.
It is not for YOU. :) I think for all normal folks, if you're isolated from the opposite sex, things will feel empty, meaningless, and boring, because we're social-sexual creatures.
I've been single for just over a year now -- but during that time I've had brief exclusive-by-courtesy-and-focus situations here and there. Being single doesn't mean being lonely -- if it does, that means you're emotionally dependent and needy on -someone- (yeah, you -- you'll do!). | |
