WHAT IS SEXY:
Sexy isn't about taking your clothes off to bare your body, sexy is fully clothed and able to bare your soul. Sexy isn't calling a woman "hot", sexy is getting to know just how beautiful she is on the outside and inside. Sexy isn't the perverted email or photos you post, sexy is taking time to get to know a person. Sexy isn't stupid, sexy is intelligent and able to have a conversation past, "hi, what's your yahoo id". Sexy is not expressing your sexual preferences to every woman you contact, sexy is sharing your hopes and dreams to one woman you really want. Sexy is not about the clothes you wear, sexy is how you carry yourself. Sexy is not that new car, boat, bike or jewelry you bought, sexy is the time you spend with me and how you treat others. Sexy is not wanting to "f.uck" me, sexy is wanting to seduce me, show me what you desire about me...then shower me with passion and romance. Sexy is not I need you, Sexy is I want you. Sexy is allowing me to show you just how much I do want you. Sexy is sticking around to see how great it could be.
Certain physical features can make a person appealing but being sexy takes a deeper look from within. | |

I was called, earlier this morning, sexy from someone I havent met but Ive spoken too for a few weeks now. My initial reply was "thanks :0) it made me smile because you havent even met me". Duh i was thinkin he though my "physical appearance" was sexy..... not a stupid thought tho. Anyway my reply back was "sexy can mean inside and out.." and thats it I was like my god this person likes me for my brains, humour, blah blah blah... I was overwhelmed. So yeah thats my thoughts, sorta.  | |

Attitude is a big part of what makes a person sexy, IMO. It's kind of a turnoff when you meet someone that you find attractive until you start having a conversation with them and they have a bad attitude.
But most of all, a woman that feels sexy is sexy, even if the other guys in the room haven't caught on yet. | |

i have been called sexy and always wondered y. my crush told me its how i carry my self, i am a strong black young lady, getting her education, and has a very strong minded, i am funny, beautiful, and bubbly. that is wat makes me beautiful, and he didnt mention that i have a nice body to, but at the end he did. Even though i am atheltic and have a shape, he really didnt seem to care that much about it it was more about the inside of me then the outside.  | |

Posted: 6/24/2009 8:35:34 PM | Interesting answers all around. For me sexy is part feeling it and part projecting it. It's about confidence, joyfulness, sensuality all raped in a spring in your step. It's about attitude!! I can wear the ugliest clothes in my wardrobe, if I have undeargarment I feel sexy in, I will project that. High heel shoes or boots make me feel sexy, they make me carry myself differently. Hard to explain.
As for what I find sexy in a man... cliché enough but true, his intellect. If a man can talk about a variety of subject with confidence, I find that sexy. The way he holds himself with confidence, the way his expresses himself, using more then a 3000 words vocabulary... I find that sexy. It's not about physical appearance and much about personality and intellect. | |

Not arrogant confidence, but more like...cockiness.****, funny, boisterous men always make me drool...no matter what their physical appearance is like. When I first met one of my exboyfriends, I initially decided that I didn't want to date him - didn't find him attractive/wasn't my type. Yet he was so confident that he was going to win me, and he was very persistent in pursuing me... after a while I began to see qualities in him that I didn't notice before, and it turned out that I started to find him very sexy. So of course in the end, he DID win me over.
On the other hand, I'm totally in lust with a close friend of mine because he is absolutely gorgeous. Although he has a great personality to go along with it too, so I suppose he is a package deal. I guess confidence, personality, and a rugged jawline and six pack can make someone very, very sexy as well.
Also, I love men that are particularly good at something. For example, singing/playing an instrument/dancing/etc. Seeing a man totally focused and giving his all to accomplish something is EXTREMELY sexy. | |

It's an energy of being comfortable in one's own skin coupled with a genuine desire to Want to be with me, and he knows how to treat a woman. Caring and thoughtful but not a doormat.
I'm partial to heroes in action myself, like firemen. Fully admit it! Does this mean that he has to don the firehat in bed to make me hot for him? No. A Dentist can have my attention too. It just shows how genuine he is.
So I guess you can say its' how "Genuine" he is that get's me tingly in all the right places.. .  | |

Watch a really good singer, for example. When they "let go" and they are totally in the moment, and they are experiencing the thrill of singing just for its own sake, and they have a feeling that is beyond words and they can translate that feeling to the audience and there is no pretense.
That's what sexiness is all about, I think. Letting go.
Women who have appealing, genuine laughs are another example. When they laugh out loud despite themselves - even when they don't want to laugh, or they are trying to keep from laughing. And the mask falls away for a moment and you catch a glimpse of their inner self and you see their unbridled joy, just for a second or two.

Fascinating. According to Wikipedia, the average child of an English-speaking family has a vocabulary of 2500-5000 by age 6.

OP, like those two adolescents in Weird Science, my first thought was Kelly LeBrock, but probably speaking French instead of the King's English, but then my memory kicked in, and I realized that sexiness exudes from the sexy person, not my projections. I've met women of all shapes, sizes and ages who were remarkably sexy, some of whom knew only a few dozen words of English (which was more than sufficient! lol), a few on backwoods trails who were all the more breathtaking because they hadn't used a brush in days, but their eyes were fixed on places where the sky touched the earth, and a couple who knew me inside and out from the moment we met, just by looking into my eyes. | |
