| Third Fridays at Third Degree Glass Posted: 9/17/2009 7:26:46 PM | Okay, if I'm being a bad girl by double posting, forgive me or delete me. I wasn't paying attention that there are separate threads for "this weekend" and "free things" and went and did "this weekend" first, but this is a recurring free event that looks like fun. Third Degree Glass Factory on Delmar has an open house every 3rd Friday from 6-10 p.m. It's on Delmar. You can google them for more info, directions, etc. They have a cash bar.
I learned about it because one of my friends is involved in a preview of the play Tomfoolery that they are putting on tomorrow (9/18/09).
Again, forgive me for the double post. I'll pay better attention next time. But it looks like a fun place. I'll let you know how it went.

| Things to do around St Loo ~ that are FREE Posted: 10/7/2009 8:29:04 PM | Open Mic every Monday night at Atomic Cowboy on Manchester in The Grove was voted Best Open Mic in the Riverfront Times reader's poll. For the price of a $2 beer you can listen to an eclectic mix of music (and sometimes poetry or comedy) that changes every week. Ryan Spearman, our easy-going host, performs from 9 p.m. til 9:30 and then the mic is open til 1 a.m. If you like to perform in front of others, come on out. It's a friendly and encouraging place that welcomes all genres and skill levels. Shoot, they even let *me* play! (But I only play if a fiddler shows up.)
Y'all come on out some time.
