|
| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/3/2009 4:31:37 PM | They're allowing paid faction changes now?
Ahahahahahaha I can't wait to see the day this happens. Alliance population switches 100% to Horde, Horde switches 100% to Alliance to avoid the newbies.
|
| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/4/2009 1:15:42 PM | I play Alliance, however I haven't played in a few months. I would like to get back into WoW soon & I'm aiming for it in 2 weeks (the cost of moving house is killer on the pocket book).
I also enjoy Sims, Might & Magic, Spore, Diablo (use to run a server), and so many others. As for console games I only have a PS2. I have 3 GTA games but I haven't even been able to play them as my TV died *grumbles & waits for her tv-tuner card to arrive by mail, yawn*. My fav game by far is Guitar Hero & Rock Band, SO much fun!

| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/5/2009 11:33:20 AM | I used to play WoW on the Horde side, but I stopped for a few reasons.
1) Endless faction grinds that went nowhere. 2) No raid slots available because I couldn't grind heroics 24/7 to get better gear. 3) All the Alliance 12 y/o's that decided to switch to Horde and bring down our side.
Then I played EVE for a while. I recently quit that because:
1) A Hulk was the best mining craft I was going to get. Ever! 2) A lot of griefers have been targeting miners in high-sec just to "taste carebear tears". 3) I'm never going out to 0.0 space.
So now, i'm looking for a new game. For now, i'll just fall back on the old Command and Conquer for a while.
Anyone know if Sins of the Solar Empire is any good?

Did you leave before they added the Rorqual and Orca? Mining capital ships, and Orca can be used in empire space :)
See, your problem was that you tried to be a peaceful miner. I'm a miner too - except I mine carebear wrecks and corporate hangars!
|
| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/5/2009 4:06:29 PM | I am an old Everquest player :)
Played from 2001 until sometime last year though I still log in now and then to say hello to friends and shake my head at the goings on lol

You're paying for updates. So essentially if you were playing Madden and once a month you could download new players and new patterns....or if you're playing a first person shooter, you would get a new map every month.

Did you leave before they added the Rorqual and Orca? I left after they came out. I actually had a small mining fleet of 2 Hulks/1 Orca. The Orca is nice, but it's a mining support craft, not a miner itself.
And the Rorqual (a.k.a Roadkill) does nothing but sits around the tower all day. If it deploys in a field, it's dead.
|
| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/6/2009 1:13:54 PM | Ah. I'm not familiar with their functions, since mining is something I avoid like the plague. Figured they were just uber miners.
I love that, after playing Eve since 2003, I still don't understand how some things work.
|
| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/6/2009 8:08:30 PM | Oh, so you're one of "those people".
I see. | |

Yes, definitely one of "those people" :p
By the way, Rorquals aren't as defenceless as you think - there's a fella flying around with a battle-Rorqual, and he's claiming some pretty hilarious kills. Bagged a Kronos, even!

| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/12/2009 10:56:31 AM | The only console gaming system iv used were intelavison and sega. Im mostly a pc gamer old school. started with whatever games they had for the c64 moved up to wolfenstine, rise of the triad some others then found half-life played the fps then got into tfc ran with some clans i was a mean engy back then. moved on to qwtf then q3tf. eventually a friend introduced me to everquest then when world of warcraft came out my little bro bought me the game for x-mas and thats my addiction currently. I started ally had the nelf hunter and all. switched to horde all my hordies are female blood elves *shrugs* i have too many toons to know what to do with. 80 frostfire mage raiding ulda, 80 enh shammy catchin up to the ulda craze. 3 70s then some randoms. i am lookin forward for the paid faction change i miss my hunter but could not stand to lvl another one.

| FOR THE HORDE! Posted: 7/16/2009 1:16:11 AM | | I started initially with an undead warlock. Then shared the time between a human lock and undead rogue. both 80. I 've been playing for 4-5 years now. I have them both in good guilds. Alliance characters in Medivh and Horde ones in Elune. I am also playing a twink 69 Blood elf pally till 3.2 patch where they get nerfed. The pally is my baby, I am spoiling her. I love PVPing. | |
