Posted: 6/24/2009 3:01:48 PM | hi all. i was watching germaine greer (british feminist) some months ago on tv. she was discussing the origins of the words c**t and vagina. she said that vagina was an old latin military (or was it greek?) term for the sheath for the sword. so, over time vagina became known as the natural place for the penis. the word c**t on the other hand has its origins in old celtic and germanic language. the c word (..and i hate to use asterixes etc for this) alluded to how females were highly regarded in those cultures. i suppose early pagans prayed to Danu who was the feminine god of fertility and women were an integral part of that society unlike our ciivilisation where the girls were on the periphery of things and continue to be on some levels.
i actually like the sound of c**t. Its powerful and its real unlike vagina which alludes to a warped femininity which belongs to the realm of romantic novels and unnatural ideals.  | |

Posted: 6/24/2009 9:55:07 PM | I was in a furrier shop ( yeah so I am not a member of PETA) and there was this beautiful pink fur coat in the window. I had to try it on, and I asked the salesman what it was, and as God is my witness, he said "Shaved Beaver"! I laughed so hard tears rolled down my cheeks, and he got to laughing with me, and I told him, it was the prettiest coat I had ever laid my eyes on, but there was no way I could ever wear a coat made of Shaved Beaver, cause I could never admit to what it was!
And by the way, in my family, girls have poodlies and boys have weebers.
Don't ask me how or why.

My great grandma had a way with words. She was also from the generation who took spongebaths in between tub baths since they didn't have indoor plumbing. She'd hand her daughter a warm basin of water, soap, and a cloth, then tell her to wash as far as possible..."Possible" being what she called the girl parts. Thank God for indoor plumbing! | |
