So MM only goes out with the good looking blokes then

In reality the reason it's 1/20 replies is because 95% of the men are mailing 5% of the women! (I don't know if the math works out, I didn't check it). I'm sure if each man, just as an experiment, messaged 20 random women, regardless of looks or profile, the reply rate would be far higher. | |

A kind of internal mail system due to the fact that i only really fancy myself. And yes i always reply. Talking to myself is a hard habit to break. Though arguing with myself is getting a little tiring. I must tell myself to stop  blimey if you two are sjxx why the hell am i looking after your kids and paying your bills? On a positive note, their is that new feature in your profile looking for a date on Friday which I think is really cool and if i was looking for a date I would update my profile and try my luck there :) | |

because we don't read your profile in a pub,club,shopping mall,supermarket or wherever we meet..
it's always down to looks..who you are comes after...
This is so very true.
It is somewhat odd that people think that just because we are online we are not going to behave in exactly the same manner as we do in the real world.
So perhaps all those guys wondering why they don't get a reply, I guess you are not as good looking as you think you are.
This is why I still suggest if it is replies that you want lower your standards, because you can't make everyone else lower theirs. | |

Asking someone how they are is very limiting, either you're fine or you're not and if you're not then moaning about it isn't exactly an endearing quality. Just last week I got a "how are you?" message and I replied and tried to get a dialogue going with an open question, guy mesages back with a short one sentence answer. Couple of days pass and he sends me another "how are you?"
If someone likes you how hard is it for them to look at your profile and message about some commonality or tell you what attracted them in the first place? It's not rocket science, it only requires a bit of effort.
I recently got a message from a guy, it was short but at least he bothered to read my profile. We've been chatting a few days now, we have a lot in common and I have my fingers crossed.
So it's not about size but quality, it's not about looks but personality.
I also want to make it clear it wasn't my intention to polarise this thread, I'm not bashing blokes but there has been a bit of talk on here about response or lack thereof and I thought it might be useful to have a little insight. | |
