I will try to repond with a hello and thanks for the compliment...and if Im not interested that will be all I do say, and not ask a question back. They should get the hint and move on, if they send another back, giving it another go, I will ignore which I always hope will give them the correct message. I'd never have a life if I just kept on replying to messages on here.  | |

Some people are pretty poor at starting conversation but maybe if you got one of these types for yourself there are upsides to their approach.
If there is nothing in their profile to interest you clearly they are not doing themselves any favours.
Think tennis, fire a ball back over the net..
Perhaps design a questionnaire to send to these types ! At the very least it will myay result in some amusing responses. | |

You mean the one that never replies to my emails? Yeah, he's hotter than Brad Pitt.
Bit stuck up though, thinks he's all that. Just cos he gets emails from every woman on PoF he never bothers to reply to those of us who aren't 10s. All I said was 'Hi' and it was just read/delete.
Next time I tried 'I'm up for it if you are' but he never replied to that either. He might be hot but he's obvously got no personality.

I'm really at a miss as to why a lot of people don't reply on this site, I could understand if I was just messaging people with page 3 profile pictures and no info on their interests, but genuinely I message a select few, always try to be original and even try to crack an awful joke or two. I'm not trying to say that i'm the next woody allen (and i'm talking comedic appeal, not looks..!) but I'd like to think I come across as personable. I mean quite honestly i'm just here to meet some new people, yeah i'm single and in the unlikely event I meet Ms. Right then hey I'll run with it, but for the most part I just enjoy having a good chat.
But despite trying to put across my noble intentions, the ammount of read deletes I get is quite insulting. For the ammount of effort i tend to put into a message, its both disheartening and downright rude.. I mean even if they think I look like a male joan rivers, they could at least humour me by sending me a tactful eff you! | |

Okay in your case I am completely at a loss as to the read/deletes. I can only assume those were people who have issues of their own in which case you are well rid of them.
Not everyone is up for just having a good chat it seems. I had a guy send me one email and I sent him one reply and the next message started on about our rapport and our future together. I pointed out there was no rapport at my end, I was merely being friendly. He went off about how he was here for a long term relationship not a chat and told me not to contact him again, which was fine by me. Apparently (in his mind) a profile and one message is all you need to decide who will be your long term partner, and he is certainly not about to waste time chatting with anyone.
So it just goes to show you can never tell what sort of strange person you might be talking to and what their reasons for a read/delete are. | |
