I guess it must be too much - oh no actually come to think of it, it's probably seeing my face! heh heh. Anyway, I think online dating sites are just another way to connect with people and like non-online meeting people, not everyone gets on, that's life. The downside to online for an ugly-mug like me is that it's harder for my personality to come across, but I don't feel to bad about it. :) Mostly. ;-)
Having said that if anyone sees anything horrendous on my profile do let me know, I can review whether it is an error or not. :) | |

Posted: 6/27/2012 8:34:56 AM | I do reply to every message i get but i am getting really bored of the one liner including the word babe i really dont like that word and its all i seem to get from guys, As soon as i read the word babe i am like oh dear another one who cant be bothered to use my name which is pretty obvious.
I guess i am the only women in the world who doesnt like the word babe because it reminds me of a pig. I find other pet names annoying to because they are just too intimate in my opinion for someone i dont know to call me. So i am least likely yo apply to a message that is a one liner including a pet name no matter who it is from
and i am most likely to respons to any one who has actually read my profile i even made it easy and put 10 bullet points as to topics i like and as of yet only one guy in 462 has actually used a bullet point in there start of convosation.
I am also sure that over 90% of men dont read my profile as they say hey babe where are you from or how old are you or something on the first section of the profile, now it instantly makes me think ok hasnt read the profile is judging me on my pictures must just want one thing.
However i give men three strikes i will respond to there message and if by the thrid they still havent said anything interesting i say no thanks. | |

After reading the rest of the thread, an accompanying "Thank you, but I'm not interested." auto reply button would also be handy. | |

But why get worked up about it? Why highlight the fact that it has worked you into a state? That just isn't good self-serving PR. And the worst of it is when you are compelled to put your fury onto the record in your profile. You might as well be figuratively wandering around, ringing a bell shouting, "Unclean, unclean!" I wouldn't mind sometimes I put real thought into a message and it gets absolutely no response and I get the same when I put zero effort in too. I think there's a lot of people work in Human Resources on here as just like them you apply for the vacancy and don't even get a courtesy reply...
Keep in mind that half the jobs are not real and HR are just prospecting for new foder- The same can be said of the profiles on here- Half are not true and will never reply. Try and get them to webcam chat to find out | |

I thought a message I would try,
to start a conversation,
plus a simple way of saying hi.
I spent time to read her profile,
and something caught my eye,
we had some things in common,
so I will not tell a lie.
I asked about her hobbies,
and to countries she did fly,
I careful wrote my message,
and waited her reply.
Days past by and then a week,
still no answers that I seek,
No response in the next month,
she only clicked delete.
So I tried some other profiles,
and wrote a little more,
a couple of individual greetings,
but my messages they'll ignore.
Then one day I changed my photo,
that's when my hopes did die,
the only message I got from women,
were hello or just saying hi.
So now I mainly read the forums,
and the message button I don't press,
as genuine as I am in meeting the one,
so far I'm genuinely unimpressed!. | |

Message 2 - basically saying thanks for the reply.
That should have been it surely!!! Nope, every week for the past 4 weeks, he messaged again, which I ignored - So finally today, after yet another message, I replied and told him I was blocking him and the reason why. I do wish people would remember who they have already sent messages to. No doubt he will be amongst those complaining that he doesn't get replies lol | |
