I think in many cases $$$$ might have just a little to do with this......
Well, in the case of teens or very young gals I would say not unless Mummy and Dada have a lot. In the cases of the "older" generation I have never seen most driving around in Hummers or SUV's. Most of those types I see are pretty well evenly matched in the outside department as well as their clothes and vehicles.

Isnt it odd how big people say that looks dont matter ! It isn't really odd...many of us have learned the hard way that it hurts like hell to be told you're not good enough...why would we want to visit that on others? (Of course, I realize it does happen). I know that I am attracted to men by their personality and that certain "something"...I have met a number of men who might be considered "hot" that I wouldn't give the time of day to...based solely on their personality.
You say that "big people" say looks don't matter and then say that you don't see "gorgeous women" with ugly guys...ummmm, a woman can be bigger and still be attractive you know...just as a guy can be bigger and still be attractive.

Actually, I ws thinking they probably say it to ugly people to make them feel better. Big people can lose weight what can an ugly person do?

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 3/22/2008 7:05:41 PM | nope...im obviously a bbw..although i hate that term...and i like big guys...skinny guys...tall guys...not so tall guys....
yes you have to have physical attraction and chemistry...but who am i to judge someone on their looks?
|
| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/1/2008 5:55:51 PM | of course, it's hypocritical. But everybodys human, we all want fit, sexy partners and fat is not sexy unless you have some weird fetish (And by fat I mean over 200 pounds if you're a woman), a few extra pounds is not really fat in my book. | |
|
| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/1/2008 6:03:57 PM | | Why would it be considered hypocritical (or judgemental)? It's a personal preference thing, like not being attracted to blondes or somebody taller or shorter than you. | |
|
| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/1/2008 7:26:14 PM | I love big, tall, chunky men. Thin men do not do a lot for me.
There is just something sort of cuddly about them.
This being said, I draw the line at the morbidly obesity. I draw the same line for myself.
|
| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/1/2008 8:29:56 PM | | If you judge someone based off looks your asking for alot of problems down the road. My best friend is doing this and im trying to help him but its hard. Problem is his job and his Mother makes this harder then what it should be =\ | |

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/1/2008 8:35:08 PM | Fat women who prefer non fat men are not hypocrites. They are exercising freedom of choice. | |
|
| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/2/2008 10:28:24 AM | | Completely different thing. being taller or shorter is not a choice, being big is. If you're big, you are more likely to find love with someone who is big themselves than with someone who is not. It's unrealistic for a morbidly obese woman to expect a guy with six pack abs to want to date them, and that's were the big girls get stuck. They have unrealistic expectations, if you want a six pack ab guy, you're going to have to be a tight and fit woman. If not, thats ok but don't get offended when slim guys aren't interested and don't turn down these bigger guys cause there not "In Shape" because that is hypocrital. | |

dude just so you know some people have metabolic disorders that cause them to not properly metabolize whatever they eat, so despite diet and exercise, SOME people will never be small and compact in their body size....
also, being that I have dealt with this issue all of my life, I can emphatically tell you, that many in shape, athletic and fit men prefer their women to be soft and fleshy.
Not that I wouldn't date a guy who was bigger, but out of all the men that have ever been involved with me, I can tell you they were average, athletic or very thin...my last b/f was also 13 years younger, thin to athletic build and considered to be a hottie and when I asked him why he found me "sexy" he said...if I wanted a firm muscular body like my own, I'd be gay...
so there you go..some food for thought

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/2/2008 4:27:51 PM | There are more points on the spectrum besidesoverweight guys and ripped, muscled guys.
I used to be thin and active before I got various injuries. People told me I needed to *gain* weight. Even at that point, I tended not to like guys who looked like they worked out a lot. I associated big muscles with no brains.
Skinny, unmuscular looking guys have always been fine with me. I associate that with being smarter.
While appearance does have some relationship with your activity level, there are plenty of buff guys who never get active outside the gym. And guys (and girls) who hike, bike, and dance that are on the chunky side. Genetics has something to do with it. Medications you are on, or physical limitations you develop as you age do too.
I also find it weird that really short women like really tall guys. Eye contact at close distance between people closer to the same height can be a turn on. I guess I'm a slightly taller girl who had my first serious boyfriend who was my height. Eye contact and kissing are not the only things that are easier to do standing up.

Ok, don't assume that every big person choose to be that way. I know I battled an eating disorder, but it seems only if you throw it up that have a problem. And oh poor person.
Secondly, I've dated better looking men than you. I think you are living in a box somewhere and making some assumptions based on your preferences.

Ive been very lucky to date some very fit men including my ex who i was wth for 8yrs who was a cage fighter and boxer with abs to die for :)..... and im built like the preverbial s h i t house, dont make assumptions about other peoples tastes. Just because youre not attracted to bigger women dosent mean all men aren't. I personally prefer tall guys and im not knocking you its ok if you prefer slim women to bigger ones, everyones entitled to date people they find attractive, just dont make assumptions for your fellow men. :)

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/14/2008 9:08:38 AM | Some BBWs are simply more attracted to thin or fit men just like some thin or fit men are more attracted to larger women. However a BBW would be a hypocrite if she turned down a fat man because of his weight ( or she rejected a man because of his race, height, being bald etc ). Yet she also complained about man turning her down due to her weight.

IMO a person who goes to the gym often is just as active as a person who likes to hike or bike. Maybe a "gym-rat" couldn't do some things that a person who bikes or hikes does. But the reverse could also be true. A person who bikes or hikes might not be able to do some things that a "gym-rat" can do.

Yes some people will be overweight due to a medical condition. However weight is controllable in most cases. There are also some larger women who are comfortable wtith their weight and don't want to lose weight.

I read your post. Maybe a lot of women aren't attracted to very thin men. But I also think that many women ( including some obese ones ) aren't attracted to obese men as well. I know some men that were obese until they lost a lot of weight. A lot more women were attracted to them after the weight loss.

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/15/2008 1:59:27 PM | | I'm not a BBW, but I've dated men of all shapes and sizes. My taste in men is pretty eclectic; I'm attracted to all sorts of body types. | |

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/16/2008 6:43:03 AM | I'm more attracted, to women who , if they DO gain weight, somehow gain it proportionally....like Curvy Dee....very nice
I once knew a woman, who looked great with a few extra 20 to 30 lbs on her...then she lost weight...and she looked a little TOO thin, and she must've shrunkn 2 cup sizes. I mean, she looked cute when she lost weight too, but I'm attracted to even MORE curvy (Which can be a bonus).

Well thank you very much Okeedokee :) do you think that larger ladies should only date larger men or should size really not matter apart from in our preferences we have to be attracted to you we are going to go on a date with right? :-)

| Any bbw hypocrites? Posted: 4/16/2008 7:39:39 AM | | I am not a bbw--maybe 20 pounds over weight if that, but I love bigger guys--always have---but what really gets me is when I go out with a guy who is clearly 60 pounds over weight and all in his belly--he always has the nerve to tell me to my face I am too heavy for him---I am 5'8" and carry weight very well--no matter how thin I am --I never am thin enough for the american male---makes me insane. I recently went out with a guy 3 times last week who was 6'2" and 270. He had 140 pounds on me and said that he just could not date someone over weight--I laughed all the way home. I can lose those extra 10 pounds---but they never loose their shallowness. They need to know that the girls on magazines are heavily photoshopped and made to look at least 20 pounds lighter than they are--I know--I have photoshopped many. The entire world seems to have to cater to the male visual mind. What a joke ! | |

If this man was 270 and weighed 140 lbs more than you did. That would make you 5' 8" and 130". I don't think a woman would be 20 lbs overweight at these dimensions. In fact losing 20 lbs could make a woman with these dimensions extremely thin.
