| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/7/2009 10:51:10 AM | | Years ago before his death, I saw Oleg Cassini interviewed and being asked advice on how to prevent wrinlkes. He gave some pointed advice, but was ask ed why he didn't take his own advice, as he had a very deeply lined countenance. He replied; "When I look in the mirror I want see how I've lived" | |

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/7/2009 11:02:36 AM | Like a lot of the guys on here, I dont really worry about it. Mostly i wake up about every 2 years and look in the mirror and say to myself "Wow...your really getting old!". Then I go back to shaving with a nice noxema like cream and washing my face with a bar of soap. LOL.
Guys arent as concerned about it i guess....But you ladies look awfully nice!

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/7/2009 11:09:11 AM | | What do I do? I look in the mirror and say "Sean Connery, eat your heart out!". Self delusion is one of my special talents and I've learned to make it work for me. | |

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/7/2009 9:13:10 PM | | I exercise to keep in shape, I keep my hair well trimed and stylishly cut, and I try hard to dress with taste. I do not in any way try to make myself look younger, I always think it looks fake on men and women both. | |

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/8/2009 12:06:45 AM | I moisturize with Vaseline intensive care lotion on a damp face.
Equally important as lotion, I have practiced facial exercises daily the past 7 years since age 52. Muscle volume was gained/regained. Most lines previously noticable on my forehead and aside my eyes became very faint. My forehead muscles were soon able to always support and effortlessly raise my eyes and brow upward without any horizontal wrinkling of my forehead. My nasal labial folds have all but disappeared. I use the *Facercise* non-surgical facelift(ing) program.
Then again, I waited too long to get back into the gym and I've slept too many years on the side of my face. So I have some turkey neck due to atrophy. I have an annoying vertical crease in my upper lip. I'm trying to lose the turkey look and man boobs by starting back at the gym this Jan.

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/8/2009 3:44:33 PM | I use a deep wrinkle treatment on my face if not everyday every other day. You apply it right into the wrinkle. I let that absorb and then I apply DNAage daytime by Nivea..
This combination does help some and keeps my skin well hydrated.

| Men?Women over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/8/2009 4:14:22 PM | Nothing like a youthaholic that constantly looks in the mirror to see if there is a new wrinkle. It' s better to be lighthearted and laugh. Read a good article in The Times by Wendy Holden who uses humour to make some strong arguments. She says "Youthaholics are spoilng it for everyone with their unrealistic notions of ageing. We need new role models." What's nice is intelligence, humour, personality, wisdom, kindness, sincerity, loyalty, warmth, generosity and so on.

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/8/2009 11:45:57 PM | I hate to be the party pooper here but, if no one cares what they look like, then how come the men want women like Pamela Anderson, and I don't mean just the 'breast' either.
Why is everyone 'still' looking for someone?
I think most 'everyone' has concerns about NOT looking 20/30 anymore.
I think when people look at people their own age, they somehow think they 'do not' look as old, but I have news for them...YOU DO!

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/10/2009 4:00:44 AM | We guys are "allowed" to age (in American society) and still appear "sexy" (in a distinguished sort of way) and thus have the luxury of not having to care about facial wrinkles. We're concerned more with our overall physical health, body shape and erectile functioning.
Since my hair's light blonde, it won't make much difference when it goes gray (white), although, if it's obvious, I'll probably color it. Since my skin's fair, I use sunscreen religiously, to avoid skin cancer down the line.

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/10/2009 9:33:22 AM | I have gray hair, but everyone in my family has some by age 16.
The Lord made me wrinkle free for some reason. If I had some, I'd buy a belt sander from Sears and go to town. Why use plastic surgeons? It has "do it yourself project" written all over it.

| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/11/2009 8:08:41 PM | ^^^^ May I ask, gaddflye, why you don't have a photo posted on your profile? In your contributions to the forums you sound like you are a lady killer. A woman's appearance seems to be ootra important to you and yet you don't offer up the same. It's a mystery! | |
|
| Men over 50 what do you do? Posted: 8/11/2009 8:20:29 PM | | Even more mysterious is why is he even here if he's so successful just walking around town with women throwing themselves at him? Maybe he's married and living out his fantasies on the forums, or maybe he's just a "gadfly," only here to stir up the pot for amusement and entertainment? Just curious myself. | |
