| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/6/2009 9:20:01 AM | In my case, its my hair and/or beard, and as long as I like it personally, that's all that really matters. The only thing I ever had to come to terms with is that it is perfectly natural for men to be every bit as vain as women when it comes to their appearance.
Once I got over that hurdle 10 years ago, I broke out the Just for Men and dyed the beard, and a few years after saw the need for the hair to join in too. That also goes for having a beard to begin with, whether its the goatee I have now or something more. Its your hair, face and body, do whatever you feel makes you look good and gives you confidence in yourself, and to hell with what anyone else thinks!

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/6/2009 1:51:05 PM | OMG: I attempted to go grey this past year and my hair is really streaks of silver. Most all my friends had a fit and relatives.
I kept it for awhile and then dyed it. I have to admit way more men are appealed by color and younger looking until they get grey -LOL

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/6/2009 3:29:15 PM | | My hair started going white since I was 20, and I've learnt that women immediately notice when you dye your hair, I prefer to leave it natural and short, long /gray white hair usually makes your look go shabby. | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/7/2009 10:02:20 AM | | I did color cammo at Super Cuts and in the summer I started cutting my own hair with #2 clippers, you can't really see a lot of gray, but I have been doing this now for 3 years. I have not had a woman yet tell me I would be more attractive with longer hair or less noticeable gray hair. Maybe I really don't care and that is the kind of condidence that attracts a woman. | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/7/2009 7:49:52 PM | | Depends on the individual. I've seen men and women with grey or white hair who were absolutely gorgeous, and others who just looked old and tired. Me? I found my first grey hair at 16, and it wasn't just a stray or a fluke, it brought its friends along. So I've been coloring my hair since then. Started with the temporary, wash out in 8-12 shampoo kind, but soon moved on to the permanent variety. | |

Steve martin looked better after he went gray than before, imo[/quote[
And Richard Gere, and George Clooney (although I've always thought he was beautiful, right back to Facts of Life!), and, well, how much better did Bob Barker look once he stopped dying his??
Oh, and sunnysideup10, if my hair were the color of yours, I wouldn't touch it, either, it's completely gorgeous!!

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/7/2009 10:34:22 PM | 38 and grey: color it, especially if you have a lot of grey. A few grey hair on a guy is OK, a lot of grey = old. Unless your gray hair looks like highlight which is Clooney's case, you're better off coloring. 78 and grey: it depends on what looks better on you. Your complection changes with age too, not just the color of your hair. | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/9/2009 12:40:57 PM | | Wow you do look young seriously lol but why not dye it if it makes you more comfortable that is all that matters is what you think about it not what anyone else thinks. You look like Johnny Depp in a twisted sort of way :D | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/12/2009 4:15:13 PM | Grey/silver... hair is a distinguished trait that I find very sexy on men. Many women as well, look very distinguished and sexy with grey/silver hair. I find it very attractive and sexy in a potential partner.
As for my own hair having silver highlights... I have lived and earned them (smiles impishly). I prefer the natural look to enhancing it with dyes. So...will I change mine? No. I like it. I don't have one certain hair color..the colors I am blessed with are a shade of auburn-strawberry, brown-tawny-cotton top blonde and silver...it distinguishes me from others in that it is natural and I will keep it that way.
Many people do fret over their hair color, it defines who they are in today's society, how they will be viewed by others and what others may think of them. You being in the film business...most likely understands this very well. Appearance is first and foremost ...personality/character/acting coming in second.
by the way, you carry your colors of hair very well.

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/13/2009 7:30:27 PM | | I think it works for some and not for others but ultimately has to do with what you feel comfortable with. Thank goodness the few I have are hidden in between (for now anyway). If it bothers you, color it, if it doesn't leave it. I think it works for you though. | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/13/2009 11:17:24 PM | | grey hair is very aging on anyone of any age. you're best coloring it. if you don't like it, well, let go grey again! ...but i'm betting you'll have better luck without the grey! | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/14/2009 5:59:30 AM | | Graying hair/salt 'n pepper hair on men,,,,,love it! I dont think it ages you men at all! It makes you more handsome, in my eyes. And i agree with another poster~ DO NOT DYE IT! It does look fake,,,you can just tell when a man dyes his hair. Now a woman on the other hand, if her hair is streaked with gray, it ages her big time. Some women can be all over gray and it works for them, but when its steaked here and there, it just looks bad. | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 9/14/2009 6:14:47 AM | Well! You certainly have a lot of opinions from fans of grey hair! I care about physicality so hair AND eye colour do have an distinct effect on me. My parents had grey hair by their fifties. Anytime I have seen a man with grey hair I am reminded of my Dad or Grandad! Just can't do it, even though I am in my fifties now myself.
You are a good looking guy with very magnetic and interesting work. If that isn't netting you the woman you would like to be with ... experiment. Try the temporary colour(not black and leave some of your sideburns and hairline and a few strands elsewhere untouched so it looks natural) as some have suggested and see what, if anything, is different for you that way. Grow it out if you can't live with it or don't feel it's worth the hassle.

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 11/17/2009 2:09:11 PM | | I like it (on you)... especially since your face is so youthful. But I think you might look good with darker hair too. In the end it's up to you I think. Try some temporary dye and take some pictures! See what you think and then wash it out. I'm the kind of girl who's always changing my hair color. Currently I'm a red head. I've had blonde, brunette and even black hair! I don't take hair too seriously, it should be fun. | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 11/17/2009 8:28:36 PM | OK here's a dirty little secret. I dye my hair. It only goes grey on my temples, and has been slowly going grey since I was about 24. For the longest time I just left it. I had 2 stepkids, and I always pointed to one side and said "This is from Jamie" Pointed to the other side and said "And this is from Shane"
If I don't dye it, I look like the guy from Fantastic 4, whatever his name is. Dr. Reed or whatever. I look around and EVERYONE dyes their hair, so I thought screw it, and went for it. I get it done every 4 weeks. I dunno, I like it, it works for me. Without it, it's kinda salt and pepper on the sides, but I prefer it all dark!
Like I said EVERYONE dyes their hair, I'm not sure when I'll stop. 50 maybe, once it's TOO obvious.

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 11/18/2009 6:27:34 AM | | Your hair and face are amazing why change a good thing...made me want to call my incredibly beautiful, creative and smart friend in toronto to tell her to check your profile out...seriously tho if i started going grey i might be tempted to color but its a personal choice ...i used to see this incredibly gorgeous woman that would dress in well cut usually dark clothes and had waist length grey and silver hair, blue eyes and high cheekbones, her legs were long and the l affect was enough to make me slobber . She had this etheral out of this world exotic beauty about her...would the affect have been the same if she had mousy brown hair who knows but 15 years later i still remember her : ) | |

| Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished? Posted: 11/18/2009 10:32:25 AM | I don't care how grey I get, as long I have my hair. So far, so good.
I don't think I would care if a woman has grey hair. From time to time I see these commericals with female models with white or silver hair, and I find myself thinking how strikingly beautiful they are!
