I realize you always have to get the last word in because that gives you some kind of false satisfaction that you have won. I think you are referring to me saying that there is no goddess. I could turn that around on you and say prove that there is.

| Why Doesn't God Speak Anymore? **He does....... Posted: 7/5/2005 5:56:31 AM | Didnt God talk to moses, and Abraham, and a whole bunch of other people. I'd think God could talk to people if he really wanted to dont you? I mean what is this his only flaw? that must suck... | |

Well I understood inside of me "heard" without noise, and yet booming like a surroundsound voice other than my own, talk. Instantly I knew it was HIM. Do there you go. that's it

(I'm sure you know that, just wanted to highlight the possibility; people are pretty intolerant around here.) Don't get lulled into a false sense of security. Seriously.

| Why Doesn't God Speak Anymore? **He does....... Posted: 7/5/2005 7:21:38 AM | | ok, (putting on helmet), one time I was lost in thought pondering life in general when He just decided to ask me a question. He asked would I do that? meaning would I do what I was thinking about? which by the way I was thinking about how could a person do some kind of nonsense, don't exactly remember what it was. Anyway, without even wondering who asked I answered No way!!! I heard Him laugh, like He was joking with me. It was cool. there have been other times as well. | |

| Why Doesn't God Speak Anymore? **He does....... Posted: 7/5/2005 9:03:10 AM | @13th
read carefully what i wrote and make sense of it.
If god did speak to the prophets 2000 years ago, than in that case theres easily 3500 years of human history before hand. The Sumarian civilization existed some 5000 years before common era, and the Egytions for some 4000 years before common era themselves....NONE of their religions talk of god speaking to them, in fact up until the common era, most religions were polytheistic (more than one god...aka zeus, aries, amon rae, etc etc). If this is the case, and humans lived for Thousands of years Beofe they heard from god once.....whats to say we wont wait another 4-5 thousand years before hearing from god again?. This is why its justifiable that we have not had any world shattering encounters with god since the time of jesus.
(again-not preaching.....just reasoning)
"As I see it he offers absolutely no authority in letting mankind know that this is not acceptable, other than a book centuries old that many do not believe. Why not yell out a booming voice from the sky and just say STOP IT! if he is sooooo angry?"
lastly i believe you stated the above 13th portal, and to argue that with freewill is an entirely valid point. you posed a reasonable question and i answered it with the most justifiable means. This is a question that has had the same answer for centuries, and i gave it to-i did not intend to get into a discussion on freewill.

| Why Doesn't God Speak Anymore? **He does....... Posted: 7/5/2005 7:20:57 PM | | But the ancient religions show plenty of examples of the gods interacting with the common folk. People have been hearing and looking for/interpreting signs of a higher being(s) as long as they could leave written accounts of their beliefs and probably from much earlier since those accounts were passed down by word of mouth for centuries. | |

I think the real question, should be,
Why dosnt anyone Listen to God anymore?
Well either that or He forgot to pay the phone bill.
