Let me ask u this?If god did speak audibly to u,would u trust it was him and not be afraid?99 percent of ppl would run to a shrienk saying they heard voices!Maybe God would speak more if we talked less and were more receptive to his holy spirit.He has given me many signs of what to do next...but has never audibly spoken.I can honestly say I may not be truely ready to hear him,knowing that if this happened I would have to accept what truths he told me...like it or not.

Posted: 3/5/2008 6:11:10 AM | People who believe in "God" tell me not to question what he does or doesn't do. But I don't believe in "him" so I will. I do believe in a higher power tho. But if God was real, how come he creates brain dead people like murderers, rapists, pedifiles, etc?
Oh Wait! He didn't create them, man & woman created them by having unprotected sex, and not raising them correctly.
Religious people say that all of the destruction and chaos is "His" doing. He's trying to teach us... or they say the "devil" has more power now, more than ever, and God doesn't have enough strength (people who believe in him) to protect us. Oh horse shit!
We created all the destruction and chaos, and now have to suffer the consiquences of our actions.
If there was a God and if He really cared about us, He would help by making better people and rid the ones who are brain dead (the above people).
Plus, if He created all, who created Him? And if He created us, wouldn't there be other "beings" on other planets? Who created them?
You can't tell me that we are only lifeforms in this useless Universe & beyond. Come on! Impossible. | |

Posted: 3/7/2008 7:32:43 PM | | As far as biblical teachings and prophesy: the new testement says people will have the gift of prophecy(romans 12:6) and also that in the " the last days god Says I will pour out my Spirit on all people your sons and daughters will prophesy" that is the NIV doctrine..Even though the religious dogma preaches there is to be no more prophesy the bible claims differently...but no matter. Is anyone really interested in what it actually says? I don't have the original documents so I don't know what it really claims however the Holy Catholic Bible also claims that "one's gift may be prophecy" and explains the same thing about pouring out a portion of spirit on the people and they shall prophecy in the last days. | |

Posted: 3/7/2008 8:41:03 PM | I think God talks/speaks all of the time. It's just that organized religion doesn't want anything new invading their territory. They may have to change their stand on quite a few things:) It's about control and the authority to say you do not have messages from God because you are not of this or that faith.
I feel that each one of us are a small but complete part of God. Together we are complete in spirit. So every time we speak... God is speaking... do we listen?
...please don't hurt me people :(

I didn't do it because of my pride. And it blew the mind of the person I was to ask the question God told me to ask them that I did not do it also. Kind of sucks that I let my pride get in the way of something so good.
I have had other experiences that can only be God telling me to do something that I listened to a little bit better. | |

and so I've learned to blurt it out what ever it might be... because the message is not for me but it's for the other person.
You don't know what the message means to the person until you see the reaction on their face and feel their energy. But in my experience it's always pretty profound:) The instant tears tell me the most:)

You guys just reminded me of times in my life where God told me something for somebody else... and the times I did it got better when I remembered how little it had to do with me.
God spoke to me today through and old Army buddy who wasn't a christian when I met her but now is about to retire... I'm so proud of her and man it felt so good to hear from her. From wild old drinking buddy in Korea to a mother with children and a good christian she has been like a savior in my life just by being a part of it. Sometimes I think that even the most atheist of us here in the forums have the type of friend in their lives that they can say is a witness if not to God then a witness to the glory of living life and having dearest friends. It's like the feeling/memories that send shivers up and down my spine as I remember sitting with my friend in a military theatre in South Korea and us being the only two laughing at a particular line in the movie. Giselle is her name... just thinking of her gives me hope. I'm so glad she won't be a victim of STOP LOSS. | |

There are consequences for behavior. Good and bad.The devil does NOT have more power or knowledge than God and he never will. It is satans job to deceive. He wants us to stay seperated from God. He is the liar, the accuser,he twists scripture to confuse people.He knows how much power we have in Christ and it scares him.The demons tremble and hide at the name of Jesus.There will come a time of judgement. For believers it will be a time of reward. For those that choose to reject Him and follow satan,it will be a time of punishment.God's intent for us was perfect, until satan tempted Adam and Eve to sin. That sin was disobedience.It continues on to this day.The Bible states that, In the beginning was the Word,the Word was God,and the Word was with God.This tells us that He WAS. Some things we will not know until we meet Him face to face. I truly believe that we are not alone in the universe. This earth age is the realm in which we live.When you seek you will find. And God wants you to wonder,and ask and look for answers.He loves you whether you believe in him or not.And it is His desire that all would come to Him.Another thing is that God DOES speak. Sometimes it is through His Word,sometimes through other people,your circumstances.It can be any avenue in which you will listen to Him.We are spirits that live in a flesh body and we have a soul. I acted on the leading in spite of my mother being convinced that it was the devil talking to me. It was a few years later when her minister preached on Isa 30: 21
If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, "Here is the road. Follow it."
before she was convinced otherwise.
Mostly though He speaks through nudgings and leadings when I am open to them. | |

Really? Perhaps you would so kind as to explain why the *creator* found it neccessary to create Smallpox & wipe 500million people off the face of the planet in the 1800's?
& lets not forget that as the 'creator" of everything, this god of yours is 100% responsible for the creation of whatever boogey man "puts the fear of christ" into you. Therefore claiming that Smallpox is a creation of devil etc has no validity at all. | |
