If you put Pau Gasol & Bynum on Cleveland, the Cavs would be the NBA Champions. Notice how when Shaq first left the Lakers Kobe and the Lakers failed to make the the playoffs. They traded from Odom and got back to the first round the following year. So people can't just say Kobe's better then LeBron because he won one championship title without Shaq. He didn't do it by himself. If he tried to ball with no teammates, it'll be another no playoff season. | |

i agree , before he is called the greatest maybe he should win atleat 1 championship, iam not saying he wont but iam saying he hasent. i get sick of hearing people say " well kobes team is better" well it is but does that make jordan not the greatest because he had other great players around him ? no it doesnt!! also people like to say " well kobe didnt do it by himself" of course not no one ever does, look at the great teams in history most if not all have atleast a couple stars on it. | |

But one step farther.... There has never been an athlete on a team sport who has won any championship on his own, it takes having other players around him. Sure, someone may stand out, but he could have never done it alone.
The case with Shaq leaving LA and winning one in Miami... (and nothing against Shaq... I like Shaq) but he had Wade and a Miami team who was already playing tough, they only needed someone like Shaq to take the team farther. LA started over.... with Kobe, Lamar wasn't a super star but you knew he had the potential.
It's like bring in Artest now, the Lakers are pushing for a very competitive next two or three years while Kobe still has his A game. Artest will give them toughness and as much as I like Ariza, Artest will be better for these next few years.
Ariza though will develop into a better player than Artest I believe, but a few years away from that... he is perfect for Houston... with all their concerns and rebuilding, were as Artest wouldn't be as good for Houston as he is for LA. Both teams are at different stages in their building... just like when Shaq left, he went to a team he could help to go to the next level, like now, he can help James... but Cleveland is still missing that go to shooter and ball handling guard... unless Mo can extend his game.

of course they sucked, when u lose the best player ever u will struggle!!. i agree with you i also think that jordan made players around him better, but pippen was named 1 of the 50 greatest player and is a hall of famer, also keep in mind the year that they set the record for wins he also had a hall of fame rebounder playing with him, also had the most accurate 3 point shooter ( well atleast one of the top ones ) .point is that jordan was and is the best ever but dont act like his supporting cast didnt help, they did!! thats like taking brady from the pattys, yeah they did well but not like they would have if brady was there, or taking manning from the colts, i think u seem point | |

They already have that in LeBron. He's not a guard, but as to "the go to guy," Cleveland isn't looking for that guy.
Is there any more good talent out there in the free agent market for Cleveland to go after?
There's about ten big names on the market after next year.

theres no way to say that oneis better then the other as far as lebron and kobe go,in my opinioni would rather have kobe right now( for the record i hate them both) but i would take kobe because if i had one shot to take or one game towin i would want kobe to do it,if i was building long term i would take lebron only because he is younger, also just keep in mind that kobe has played in the much better conference also so the talent he saw night in and night out was better,just pointing that out, again i dont think there a rightor wrong answer for whos better | |

thats true and u can throw malone in there as well, but keep in mind the only reason they dont have 2 is a guy named jordan, the jazz went twice and got beat by the bulls, if not for the bulls they have 2 in my opinion. also to counter that point look at tim duncan he has just as many championships as kobe and nobody agrues he the best player. but i see your point | |

I also want to comment on the Aderson Varjeo situation why in gods name did we sign that man ti the kind of contract we did can someone plz explain to me. Also Lebron James in my opinon is a beter all around talent then Kobe Bryant hes a better passer and a much better defender . All in all this yrs season will be something to watch and keep a close eye on for sure. | |
