Moon Landings - Question.

Some people have no sense of humor. The Cronkite comments centered on an animation of a touchdown indicator light that indicated touchdown. Those not paying attention to the audio or needed delayed translations from English thought the lander had already landed and were cheering the success. In reality, the lander was manuvering laterally to avoid crashing and touched down 40 seconds after the animation nearly out of fuel for the descent engine. The way Cronkite put it, CBS landed before the astronauts.

If you are frustrated that there are people who really believe there was no moon landing, ask yourself just what can or should you do about it. Does it justify worrying about such beliefs much less arguing them? I find such beliefs fodder for humor and framed the Cronkite comments in this vain. What many people saw as the first landing on the moon was a fake. It certainly does not mean there was no landing. If you wish to argue the point, by all means, waste your time.

Not to mention NASA policy of retarding "live" coverage involving the crews of any mission. I think it is a seven second delay before being rebroadcast to the general public. In memorial to Grissom, White and Chaffee.
