Because he didn't want to deal with the legal system the first time around to prove his innocence and felt that it was just going to be a lot easier to settle it out of court and be done with. It didn't matter, because the second time around when he got accused of this again and decided not to settle and go to court instead to prove his innocence after being ridiculed for not going to court the first time around, but he still got ridiculed for that as well. So honestly would it have mattered if he would have gone to court the first time? No. People would have still ridiculed him for it, either way like they did when he went to court the second time. His rep was permanently damaged once those allegations were put on him and there was nothing he could have done to repair it after that.
The way I see it, those two people that accused him of molesting their children are nothing more than money snatchers that forced their children into bringing up legal allegations against Jackson molesting them, knowing that Jackson’s odd personal life style would weigh heavily into their favor. I mean what kind of parent would put money over seeking justice for their child over such a deplorable act in the first place regardless? To me that just goes to show you what kind of people those parents truly are to begin with and what their real motives were. | |

i am sitting here watching the news when they interrupt with breaking news that michael jackson has died from a cardiac induced heart attack!this is a shame following the tragic deaths of ed mcmahon and farrah fawcett.i guess the old adage is true when they say that celebs always go in 3s and i really never believed it until i started to pay attention and its freaky!...your thoughts and comments are appreciated on this sad subject

Further ... it appears that his music is flying off the shelves. The ol' herd mentality again. People are such sheeps. Business will be brisk at the tabloid offices everywhere. Someone on this thread speculated that Jacko may have faked his own death to increase sales of his merchadise. Maybe that's a possibility. I wouldn't be surprised if Jacko is at his private Neverland Ranch (right now) counting the sales receipts ... and *snickering* ... suckers.  Look for Jacko sightings soon at a fan club near you.  | |

I know...you hear a nasty story and as the ignorant love to say "Where there's smoke there must be fire " so of course you're all feeling very self-righteous right now especially since the man isn't even able to defend himself from your provincial thinking patterns. That's all well and good but in twenty years when it turns out that MJ's accusers were exactly what it's been no secret that they are (greedy opportunists as their historical behaviour has proven) I wonder if even one of you will own up to the fact that you heard a story and just couldn't be bothered to think for one moment.
