She apparently has to meet or surpass your visual demands and if not perfect, you don't bother. You also said you haven't been real busy pursuing women. Are you waiting for them to come knocking on your door?
Many people don't come across at their best in pictures, myself included. You may want to post a better picture, since lots of women also go by how a guy looks in their pictures. Face it; if you can be picky and make outrageous demands on a woman's appearance, so can we!
One of the nicest men I ever dated was nothing to look at. His strengths? His quick wit, sense of humor, intelligence, sense of adventure and fun, didn't look down on anyone (take a lesson, OP) and treated me like a rare jewel. I quickly came to consider him cute as hell! | |

I would question whether Latin women subservience to machismo in the Latin culture is more "natural"
Some would see that as stupidity and ignorance.
Are women who think for themselves and are their own bosses and dont agree with that "less natural?"
Me thinks not.
Also, alot of independent, highly educated women are very warm people. | |

I don’t know how many women there are subservient to machismo, and I never said that that would be natural. What I meant, was the art of conversation and manner when being together – whether it is sitting at table or at a dance. American women may be more refined and more politically correct, and they will thank you for the dinner and reject you extremely politely at the end of the evening, but Latin women will let you know right away whether they like you or not.
These are hard facts, and you don’t have to get offended by it. There are many other examples like this.
In Europe, the Italians are usually warmer than Swedes, and Russians are not as reserved as Swiss. Even in North America, the common knowledge is that Southerners are warmer than New Yorkers. And there is at least one female poster on this forum, who never misses the opportunity to point out that the Cubans are warmer and more fun than the Americans or Canadians. | |

Again, thats a generalization and Id have to disagree with it.
Alot of American women are honest and upfront about whether or not they like a certain man.
I kn ow quite a few who were able to be very kind yet honest about their feelings.
Unfortunately this can also be interpreted by some men as being "too picky" or being a man hater.
Been there, seen that too.
As for Southerners being "warmer: than Northerners.
Let me tell you this.
I grew up a southern gal...born and raised in Texas.
The niceness on the part of people there can be superficial...To strangers, children and guests and people visiting..
Some of the meanest , most back stabbing behaviors I encountered was among Southern women.
Some of the most dismissive, sexist behavior I encountered was among southern men...
Not all certainly...There are genuine nice people everywhere....not just in the South... | |

No, I didn't mean that. What I meant, was the immediate behaviour when at it. I really don't think many American women are honest or upfront. Some are, but some are just very polite. Many are too rude, bitter. or distrusting.
You may totall correct about the faked niceness and meanness of the Southerners. I don't have a deep knowledge of them and rather refrain from judging.
Here is my real-world experience:
On 3 consecutive weekends, I took 3 dates to a dance.
One was a Latin American brunette, who at the end of the evening hugged me and kissed me, and said "I like you and I liked the dance - let's do it again soon".
The second was a stunning Polish blond who polished all her meal, and half way through the night said that she was tired and she'd like to go home.
The third was a transplant from Michigan, who was quite pleasant and nice all night, and at the end said "I hope you had a nice evening".
I think I figured out the first two, but I 'm still trying to decipher the thid one. | |

I have have noticed that many(of course not all)American women tend to be very picky concerning looks, money, status etc.
In California, people move-there from all over the world. So I have had the opportunity to meet foreign women who recently moved there. These ladies don't need an American man to get them into the U.S.
Yet, in my experience, these foreign women from Eastern Europe, India,
Latin America, in many cases tend to be alot friendlier and willing to date me than most American women I have met.
I have a good career, I'm not a weirdo and I am loving and affectionate.
When I was younger and skinnier with more hair, I got more dates from American women.
I have been eating right, I ride a bicycle everyday for several hours, yet I'm having a hard time losing weight.
Nowadays, American women for the most part are not interested in me.
So when I meet a beautiful foreign lady who is friendly, pleasant to be with, warm, beautiful and willing to date-me,
I can either go for that, or continue being rejected by American women who's standards I apparently can no-longer measure-up to.
I love women, I need to have a lady/a lover in my life, I don't want to be alone.
I'm not here to bash American women, I'm just sharing what has been my experience with many of them. | |

Hang out where expats do in these kind of countries and find out the REAL deal.
Or just check out the expats forums and blogs if you want an education.

Oh, and by the way, New Yorkers are no more or less freindly than anybody else. The
stereotype comes from the crowded city where personal space is extremely limited and very important.
If anybody remembers there were no reports of looting after 9/11 unlike innumerable reports of such after hurricane katrina.
