Posted: 6/30/2009 10:49:16 PM | I date older men because they are more mature. Plain and simple. They usually have ahead on their shoulders, they are educated, they usually have a career and their own house.
Guys my age just don't cut it. They are immature, unexcepting of my child and are going no where but the bar.
Older men are also much more skilled in the bedroom. PLUS I enjoy the feeling of being beside an older man andknowing that all the women are wishing they had him but knowing they can;t top what I got.

Perhaps that's how some see it, but I would see it as an 18 year old girl dating an 18 year old boy. The only thing I see hilarious about what you wrote is the notion of an 18 year old man or an 18 year old woman. They aren't exactly still children, but they aren't exactly adults.

On a compatability scale, I like there to be no more than a 10 year difference either way. 29 years is way too much. | |

I am a 49 year old single dad, kids live with me full time and my youngest child is 8. Now I find I have more in common with most 29 year old women then most 49 year old women, not only because of the kids, but because of the type of activities I do. When I get a message from some one with grand children my kids age, I think what will we have in common. That said I do not box my self in by age. Since my divorce I have dated women ranging in age from 19 to 52 and they all had some things in common. All were fit, all loved the outdoors and all were fun to be on a date with, but the fit, loves the out doors and fun to be on a date with thing seems to be much harder to find in women over 40. It is still there in some, but far from being common. The other issue is I am not looking for long term, happy being single for ever. Finding a fun fit single women over 40 not looking for long term is also hard to do. Why box oneself in, if I can have a good date with some one 20 or some one 50 why not? | |

Posted: 7/1/2009 6:05:35 AM | I actually know of a few of these so called connections that entered a stint of longevity and all of them ended when the gal reaches about 30 .. as she is coming into her own sexual drives and confidence and the old boy don't cut it anymore ... so that tells me that some are created for deeper reasons than six inches while others are twenty minute stints that should have set the baby and the seamen out with the bath water.
The neo cortex area of the brain which regulates the areas of reasoning and impulse are not fully developed in the human til it reaches 21-25 so 18 year olds are functionally not available in development .. and the men that desire these women are not functionally available ever .. so she grows up and he keeps looking for more .. almost jail bait... hmm peddle.. peddle feel yah... | |

Posted: 7/1/2009 11:22:04 AM | I married a man older then I was - he just wasnt old enough to be my dad or my grandfather - we could attempt to cut out our jaded ways of thinking and wish people like this well without automatically implying they each have separate agendas for being together other then love - but that happens no matter the age span between two people.
Just wish them well and carry on - the only reason it should bother you is if you were interested in either of the two for yourself and I would tell you in that case to still ... wish them well and carry on.

Leave him, her, them alone, and don't judge cause you may think you know what's happening and really don't! When I was a younger man in my late teens and early 20's, I had a long term relationship (7 yrs) with a woman who was 18 years older then me. She was beautiful and I was very lucky! When I was in my late 30's and early 40's I had a long term relationship (7yrs) with a woman who was almost 15 years younger then me. She was beautiful and I was lucky! So, I've lived both lives, and did I say, I was lucky!!!!! I'm still friends with both and they both have a place in my heart that they'll always have and I know I will always have a special place in their hearts!
