Secondly, I was once in a relationship where my initial attraction for the my SO was waning as she was gaining too much weight. I began having trouble achieving erections when we were attempting to be intimate, and it pretty much didn't work at all unless she went down on me. When it came to porn and "me time", I had absolutely no trouble getting erections and I have not had trouble since. I Wonder what the cause of my temporary bout of ED was?

Posted: 9/30/2009 8:59:13 AM | What buisness is it of yours anyway? Unless that man's relationship with the younger woman implicates your life directly, or is illegal (she is under age of consent) it shouldn't bother you at all.
Attributing a man's preferences for a partner to dysfunction on his part is sad. It really makes me despair to see some of the bitter, scathing posts from some of the women in here condemning these men and making fun of them. You may think them foolish. Kudos to you. There's no ontology proving you are right or wrong though, so the crusade should end right there.
Anyway, back to the point, preferences. So basically, this gives us (the elitist and oh-so-verse pof forum community) the right to call anyone who picks a short or long term partner based on their set of preferences a "freak, loser, wierdo, creep". Women pick men on height at times, both genders may have a preference of hair colour of figure shape. Some men (or women too) may use age as a preference to for perhaps misguided (mentality, age can be suggestive, but not deterministic of mentality) and reasoned (generally the youth do have better physical condition) criteria.
Guess what? That's their choice. Their right, and so long as they're not breaking the law or crapping over my life with, why the hell should I care?
If somebody was going to call me a loser for my preferences in a women then fair play to them, that's their opinion, too bad I choose my interest in partners based on my opinion, and not that of other peoples.
Ironically, if I happened across an attractive and alluring older women (Yes, I disagree with the statement saying all mature women "lose it", untrue, it depends if the person looks after themselves, some have amazing physical and mental form because they are smart enough to look after and out for themselves) in my daily teetering, and we struck it up and hit a chord, making something of it, I highly doubt my male friends my age, and even my female friends my age would then note me down as anything negative as a result of this.
People these days are too bitter about everything, let it go and just live your life the way you want to!

IMO as long as it is legal and 'they' aren't interfering with my life - it isnt any of my business. Strikes me that 'most' of those who get their knickers in a knot over what others do or don't do (esp when it's Legal and doesn't interfere with 'their' world) - are Jealous and/or somehow believe that IF those who are dating well above or below their own age group could be stopped or controlled - the complainer (cough whiner) would somehow become 'more' appealing to the "controlled" group. Also 'strikes me' that if "most" of us would just Lighten up and stop dramatizing the petty - we might be more attractive to our own 'target group'.. or not .. Either way - it is a colossal waste of time worrying or angering over what makes someone else happy.
Time better spent finding what makes You happy and persue that.

Here we have a older, well established male, with the ability to care for and maintain a family home. He needs someone to mate with. A younger person is best, because she will be able to have more child bearing years. Also, he will most likely die off before she hits 40. leaving her rich, with the kids grown (and hopefully still able to look after mom) and she gets to go play at being a cougar. This way neither one of them actually "miss" anything in life. In fact, they make a net gain, overall!
Some males actually plan this. Others have "lost" previous family because of their dedication to making "something" of themselves, so their previous family is like "training camp" for a future family, which will end up with the benefits of a knowledgeable and experienced male.
It makes sense....so no use even trying to "male bash" about it. | |

Whether you like it or not, the only equalizer for the myriad of opinions about what is good or bad, moral or immoral, allowed or not allowed is the law. It says it's ok to do (or not to do) something, and such ruling trascends viewpoints and personal feelings. It protects everybody from control freaks who think they have the right to tell others how to live their lives. | |

True. And in some times and places gay sex and sodomy are/were illegal. The law isn't always the highest and best standard of morality. Nevertheless, some people would argue that the law is a codification of social mores, and that - in some places- the moral standard for sexual activity is age 16. | |
