I don't think it matter's if a women has short hair or long hair as to weather she's stuck up, picky or what ever term you used.
This is off topic but why is it you men like to play with our hair.... I think that's the real reason men like women with longer hair.

Sometimes I think there is something wrong with me (well, most of the time); but when it comes to things like hair length and color, skin color, eye color, tits, ass, height, skinny, weighty, etc... I am confoundedly un-fetishistic. It always depends.

I do know this, however. If your significant other returns from the hair salon, don't hesitate for a nanosecond. "It looks great."

I have noticed that since I cut my hair I am more talkative. :-) (Sorry, just had to add a little humor). Actually in the process of letting my hair grow back long again so I can rest my vocal chords. :-)

are we talking hair on the head, or on the chest, or where exactly?

You have way tooooo much time on your hands to be able to think of it this way.

I happen to agree with you Vinccee (msg #198). I will say that I know women that are so proud, just because they have long hair, and in reality...it has no style to it...it's just that: long hair...and then they get a nice hair cut and they look SO much better, and in many cases they look younger and fresher and more hip, brings out their facial features. As far as men with long hair....i personally don't like it....very few men, IN MY OPINION can pull it off....I will say that Brad Pitt in the movie Legends of the Fall, looked damn good with long hair... He is an example of a guy that looked good with long hair.

OP count me out on that one...I reply to everyone , it's rude in my opinion not to ...but as for long versus short...As long as I can wear it long, I will because I love the way it feels on my back ...shouldn't really matter....some look better in short hair ...it's a preference ....I've dated guys with long hair as well ...as long as it suits the person and compliments their face, shouldn't really matter

I agree with Gwendolyn - "this is upper crap"! This is just as bad as judging a person based on the color of their skin or the amount of their income, etc. etc. It's pathetic. While it does seem to be true that many men prefer long hair over short, it's idiotic that some say us women look better in long hair vs. short. Some people look better with longer hair and some look better with shorter hair - it's as simple as that. To try and validify their "issues" by claiming that we all look better with longer hair is ridiculous. If you're going to pick a woman based on the length of her hair, then be prepared to deal with the rest of what you get - most of which will probably be superficial since that is what you are being by doing that. If you do, then don't complain when you get a "gold-digger" or whatever. If you're interested in finding someone you seriously connect with, then don't even think about posting stupid posts such as this.

quote from Soft Lily

Cutting my hair as short as it is now is probably the best thing I've ever done for my image

Really. So looking at least 15 years OLDER than you are is good for your image.

I hear most women say they want to look younger, but then cut off their hair, resulting in them looking older, sometimes much older.

Sorry, but IMO, you look like you are about 40-45 with the short hair. If the much older look is what you are looking for, you achieved it with great success.

you guys are serious about all this hair stuff ..aren't ya? ..lol

Many men like their women to look like... (gasp) WOMEN. Many men aren't attracted to the short boy-ish/man-ish type cuts.

Yeah, just like many women are serious about the height of a man. Why is it OK for most women to require a man to be taller then themselves, but when a guy expresses his preference for long hair on women, that is not OK? What is that saying again... "what is good for the goose is good for the gander"

This is so ridiculous! Different hairstyles look good on different women. In fact, shoulder-length hair with a few layers is known as the style that looks best on the most different types of women.

I have long hair. I guess I get a lot of compliments in real life about it, but somehow I don't get messaged often on this site. So I don't think your observation is necessary true. I have long hair it doesn't make men message me more.

Not another of these idiotic hair-length debate threads! PLEASE! It's childish and pointless to make statements like "short-haired women are this" or "long haired men are that".

If you have to use your long or your short hair to feel superior to someone else, YOU have a problem. You like it long, then by all means, wear it long. You like it short, then wear it short. You like or don't like your paramour to wear it long or short - good for you. Don't try to dictate how others should wear their hair nor what their preferences should be.

I really think it comes down to the guy and how the hair - or lack of hair - complements their personality. I've had many girls tell me to grow my hair a bit, and many have told me to always keep it shaved. I guess it depends on what the girl in question likes.

Wow. New to internet forums? No one's dictating what anyone has to do. Childish and pointless are what internet forums are all about. It's not like this thread is taking room from another thread trying to solve world hunger.
