| To wear make-up or not - 1st date Posted: 7/5/2009 4:07:27 PM |
Important life decision! My first date in more than two years is tomorrow night (Monday). For the first time in my life, I'm considering not wearing make-up on a date. I developed an allergy to it a year ago and have gotten used to the blonde washed-out look. I do have some hypo-allergenic stuff, so I could have sultry eyes if I wanted to.
On the one hand, I look way prettier with make-up but on the other hand, going carte blanche has an honest appeal for me.
Just for fun, how would you vote? Make-up or no make-up...and why?
Why not present yourself the way God intended. Does any woman really think we men think your lips are really THAT red...? Besides I'm allergic and I have a theory that all that junk helps cause cancer...

| To wear make-up or not - 1st date Posted: 7/5/2009 7:46:02 PM | I wear very little make-up. I'm not the type to get dressed to the nines as though I've just stepped out of Glamour Shots. I'll wear a little something around my eyes to bring them out, and a bit of lip color. That's it.
If you aren't comfortable wearing much make-up, then don't do it. Otherwise, it will show.

You probably shouldn't either. Go for a run or a swim during the afternoon so that you have lots of oxygen happenin' in your brain and your eyes will reflect that.
I do'nt wear make up on any other dates either.
Actually I haven't had a date. The divorce came through and the year I was separated it just didn't seem right. So actually I have no idea what I am talking about so you might want to take that into consideration as well.
If I were dating you I would be thrilled you would date me at all.

What was nice though, was that this was my first (two) date(s) since I broke up with my fiance.I'm in the game again and know that I can trust and heed my instincts in a way that I didn't before.

| To wear make-up or not - 1st date Posted: 7/9/2009 3:37:19 PM | | With regards to makeup and dating. For most men, its the attitude that makeup seems to bring to the woman and not the makeup itself that makes the difference. If you've got the attitude, the makeup will never be seen. If the makeup gives you the attitude, he'll go out of his way to make sure that makeup is available. If you've got the attitude sans makeup, he'll probably be convinced that you wear something permanently. | |

| To wear make-up or not - 1st date Posted: 7/9/2009 5:45:19 PM | If you've got an allergy to makeup already, it's bound to spread to your eyes. I used to be a makeup artist. I can't wear eye shadow anymore. I started being allergic to certain colours, now it's all colours.
Don't worry about makeup or no makeup. Do you actually think men spend anytime getting ready for a date themselves? I don't think they put any thought into it at all. They are the ones that need the makeup. lol

That reminds me of the date I cancelled because he had an outdoors job and wanted to get together right after work. In Texas, in the summer, and it was a first date, mind ya! It never occurred to him to go home first, have a shower, and meet me later in a more presentable state!

it's bound to spread to your eyes Yes! It was my eyes that got inflamed. Started last fall. Can't even use soap anymore, nevermind make-up.
