I could go in a coma and never experience any emotion again- who do you know people don't experiance emotion?
I might never die...or maybe I've just never been alive to begin with- show me one person that is over 150 years old and i might bite.
I dont want to pay taxes and there for go to jail...im tax free arent I? - your tax free but not free you will work for free in jail.
If I die....am dead there is no air...and really....are you sure youre breathing? hummm.... if i am dead then i dont need air, and i am i sure i am breating? LOL! come on? really?
If i need an IV drip for the rest of my life,

Prove to me that you are 'alive.' Have you ever thought that maybe this is not really the 'real world' that we have made it out to be??

You cannot prove anything to me, nor to yourself...however you can make your own judgements. You can believe what you wish. My point in arguing these thoughts is to point out that not ever everything is as it seems....nothing is truly concrete....there is always a doubt.....
also....i have forgotten at the moment what you wrote about the 6000 year thing...but once more.....this owrld is changing every day...or were we put here fourteen minutes ago with all the thoughts and basis already put in our heads?.....unrealistic as it may seem....some scientiss have come to realize that there is a great chance that the theory is somewhat correct..... | |

see i have to disagree with that. some were on the plantet today...the wind will blow, the ocean will have waves, the sun will shine, the rain will fall, a leaf will fall from a tree. and it is fact that sometime today my dog will pester me for food. <~~~ that one is truth and fact! LOL.
i would like to know what scientis's have this theroy and where they got there degree? sounds like to me a scifi movie, matrixs, or ex file show to me. if thats the case them bill si just got are bogus and i don't need to pay them. LOL!!!! | |

I think ive reposted this quote 3 times to try and explain my rationalization for my argument....read it.
My point is as follows; jimi, you cant prove anything to me....because you dont know what the truth is. I dont know what the truth and the dog that you have to feed doesnt know what the truth is.
This argument...although abstract, is very much relative.....you dont have to believe it and you can argue it (and I'll argue it as well) all you want.....but there is doubt and there is fallicies to every religion, theory, philosophy.
I'd like to point out once more that I am simpling debating this because it should be recognized as an option...not necessarily what I personally believe in.
As for...'proving' things...you are right I cant prove that any of my claims are right...just like you cant either....there for....once again..we have doubt. | |

Also, agreed about doubt - personally I am full of doubt and find a lot of absolute truths hard to swallow. However, I find that people can persuade me to believe an absolute truth if we are discussing a totally abstract concept - for example math.
More interesting points Jimi - I'm going to try to remember that about people having emotions in coma's and make a mental note to check that out more later - fascinating! | |

What is an emotion? And why can't people that are in comas have these emotions? If you believe that an emotion is just a bunch of hormones and nerve impulses then an unconscious person might have emotion. And if you believe that an emotion is within the soul, entirely separated from the body then consciousness isn't required either - just a soul. Just food for thought as you come to terms with your grief. | |

exactly....you claim to know the truth...(which you do not!) I openly admit that I have no idea what 'the truth' really is. That is the reason why I post some of the things I do. Jimi...you arent contimplating anything I say....go back and reread some of my posts..please???
My point here again is what if what we belive is false? There are so many fallicies in every different thoery/genre of religion...there is not one that it totally correct...
The life we are living might be a massive fabrication of someones imaginiaton....
When I was younger I thought that I was dead...that there was a whole nother life outside of what i thought the world really was.....
With thoughts and doubt such as though (although I dont necessarily believe them) who is to say that this is "the only world"?? who is to say that 'god' is the almighty creator???

Fact is i take much time to absorb things, think about them, and learn about them. I don't point a finger and say EXCEPT it! i try to offer proof to my view and documeted history, and examples in life to proof my side of the coin. that takes thought.

all you have offered about why history dosent exsist is your view? why should i acept your view over another when your view is just that? there is no substance to it other then an idea. but lets take your view in to account for fun... ok everything just came in to exsistance 14 mins ago... where did it come from, who created it? who thought about all the memorys implanted in my head not to mention scars on my body and heart. then they had to set me up in a crappy job, provide me a house, dog, clouths, car, friends, and habbits and triats of who i am.ect.... now for what reason whould they have for doing all this? and who did it? and why?
for one i am glad there is truth out there. it is like a compass to walk by. with out truth its like your lost in space and drifting around. there is no foundation to build off of. and LORD fobid being in a realtionship with some one that has no truth. with out truth you can justifie anything and your never held accountable for anything.. well how can you learn with out truth? if my teachers told me...jimi 2 +2 is what ever you feel it is not just 4.. what good would that do me.

There is always a chance that our senses decieve us [descarte] i pointed out that animals such as the dog and bat have extra senses that we do not..why is that? because they need them, obviously..but why dont we??? why do we only see a small part of the color spectrum..onlly hear certain sounds and wave lengths....why is only a small part of our brain (generally speaking) used....why are there so many things that are sitting in front of us..so much info but noone can put it to use??? I realize that there are *scientific explinations* for these things...(most of them) however...seriously, none of them are concrete...the creation of the world in 14 minutes also indicates that all memories feelings, debt history, fossils..all of it were put into place....and why would someone do that?? I dont know?? Why would a kid pour salt on a slug???? cause its fun or weird or science..who knows....imjust trying to say that maybe our world isnt what we think it is..and maybe we are all just too blind to see it.
The theory is compiled of info like what if and who when how where...i just didnt post it...i figured this would be the outcome...I realize that youre not *bible thumping* however it just saddens me that almost every person in this world just accepts things for what they are and what they are taught...
I dont really believe that theory obviously...I just dont feel like stating my actual opinions as of yet...I just really want people in general to say "hey maybe my way isnt the only or right way" I know that wont happen..but its fun to try.and very aggrevating at the same time.
