We all (believers) took a chance and listened to our inner voice as we trusted.
Now we know in our hearts because He reveals Himself to us..
Draw near to him and he will to you...
Sometimes christians seem frustrated for the way to show He is real ...it is not our job to show you anything only to inform you...Peace | |

People do come to Church for the wrong reasons. I'm not sure about escape being on of them though. I, generally, am not fond of the world that we live in, for a broad range of reasons, plus I understand that Heaven is quite preferable.

I'm still trying to figure this out, you can't seriously think that Humans are inately good. There is =zip= evidence to support it.

I had a dream where I was typing something, and the margins looked like this, and these really stupid and unorthatdox smileys were off to the side, and I paused and stared at them, and then started typing out how I had a dream about it.
I do remember that it was some sort of discussion about God in the dream.
Oh, and it was on a laptop, Like I'm on now. It's rare that I'm on one, but I am, because I'm in the middle of moving.

Aside from the fact that no one is perfect, that no one is entirely good, your entire stance rests on the idea that "Goodness" comes from 'within' or whatever.
So if when you go into the realm or "Some people are bad, and some good" then you've already contradicted your ideas. Goodness HAS to be Good, and Badness HAS to be Bad. Otherwise there is -no- point to you talking about people being good or otherwise, because you're litmus test changes for each and every person, and there is no GOOD or BAD. Just... Nothing. Random acts. And if that were the case, then we can flush 5000 years or recorded history/evidence down the drain, because it's all meaningless. | |

If you have any doubts about your faith, then i suggest you look at some others, you'll ethier realize yours is the best or maybe another is calling your name. Thanks Loukus, that's pretty much my take on things.
I can understand your position on morality. I guess nature is not moral, nor is the rest of the universe. Just humans, and then, only some. Having a God to worry about which causes one to self-impose morality is a pretty safe way to go about it. Having to make the decision at each point in one's life where the question whether to be moral or not comes up, is much more difficult, imho. | |
