I did this test, but at first I questioned why once I looked at the age group that its directed at. They start at 13 years old. When I was 13 I didn't know what most of that stuff was. The following are the various "Tests" you are able to take on the studentcenter.org site. I attempted to tabulated the tests just as they are presented on the web site but that does not fit into the format on POF. Please go to the site and check it out in its original format.
But my question is, after reviewing these tests, just how diffucult is it for teenagers to be "normal" if they are held up to this kind of scrutiny. If you are having a bad day and fall into the classification of "Social Misfit", is it enough for some teens to go over the edge? Is this the reason we hear more and more about teenagers committing suicide or harming other as at Columbine? As adults we find these tests amusing. But what is the psychological damage being done to the teenages, at whom this site is directed? And don't forget to look at the advertisements on this site. What signals are the advertisers sending our children?
This web site is presented on POF in the humour section of the forum. The is no disclaimer on this web site for the teenagers using it that it is purely for entertainment purposes. We are talking about a group of people who are in their formative years, seeking directions and answers. Instead some are taken down dark paths. I know that teenagers do not have to see life through rose coloured glasses, but are we showing them more than they really require to know at this stage of their lives?
