Posted: 7/3/2009 3:53:34 AM | Just wanted to let you all know that the Indians baseball game is SOLD OUT as of yesterday. So unless you have tickets already the only ones they said might still be available would be Standing room only tickets that might become available at the time of game (6). I still am planning on having the picnic and watching the fireworks but wanted to let everyone know so they could decide about coming.

This will be my first POF "event" but rather than sit in my apartment bored, and wishing I was out doing something with someone, I plan on being out doing stuff with whomever. I'll bring some KFC since I'm the guy who doesn't cook much (I can cook very well, but when you're single, the microwave is your best friend) and some Diet Coke. Looking forward to meeting some folks.

Posted: 7/4/2009 6:38:16 AM | It looks ok out right now but they are predicting an 80% chance of rain at 2 so everyone keep your fingers cross that the weatherman is on crack and it will be beautiful....Hopefully Mother Nature is a POF member and will spare us. I will keep you posted and if we do need to cancel, I will post it so please look at the post around noon and of course if it is pouring out you will know already.

Posted: 7/4/2009 10:06:18 AM | It is raining here too and is not suppose to stop so I am going to make the executive decision to cancel the picnic because i don't think we are going to be able to find anything covered on such short notice. Stupid Weather! I will try to plan another one with alittle bit more planning next time and reserve something that is covered so we can still go rain or shine. Sorry everyone!

Posted: 7/4/2009 10:39:10 AM | Maybe a trip to Eagle creek or Brown county parks would be fun. They have shelters and at Brown County there is a pool and horse rides as additional activities if people wanted to do such things. Of course there is a fee for renting those shelters, but I bet the nice fish would help donate since charging is not allowed other than the entry fees the park charges. I prefer Brown County, but Eagle Creek is closer and more convenient for all the Indy fish. Comments, Suggestions? | |

Would anyone be interested in meeting up somewhere tonight for an impromptu party? Just to hang out? Any suggestions? Anyone do karaoke? Or have a favorite band or dj, or hang out that has good music and a decent dance floor? You know, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!

Posted: 7/4/2009 12:46:43 PM | Since the outdoor get-together has been drowned out, does anyone want to meet at Kazablanka's for fun, karaoke, dancing? The address is 5801 Rockville Rd, Indy, right off 465 on the south side of Rockville Road in front of Sam's Club. Karaoke starts at 9:00.
