Saturday at 1 pm at the Irish Times Pub, or
Sunday at Skutz Falls day use area in the early afternoon? (not sure what time if you sign up you will have a contact number)

(might be helpful, huh?)
From #1 highway just outside of Duncan (upisland side) take Highway #18 turnoff to Lake Cowichan then the YOUBOU turn off at the YOUBou junction (left turn) just before you get to Lake Cowichan the town, go past the pub and the firehall and then follow the signs. (it is about a half hour from the town of lake cowichan)
There is a section of good gravel road but no big craters | |

Hey there Glenda-Lee ..
Thanx for the kind words, for which I will pass a lot of the kudos on to Debra for the amount of work she has done to make this happen... There really is not cut - off date Debra and I just want to have some numbers to work with, when figuring out some of the logistics of putting on such an event. It's easier for you to sign - up now and if circumstances change that may not allow you to attend ... you can simply remove yourself from the event or notify Debra or myself...

NOTE TO ALL THOSE CAMPING: As an afterthought, one might want to have a weeeeee bit of Bug Repellent in their possession... not to sure of the Mosquitos population up island, but better to have some on ya ... then wishing you did ...

Posted: 7/4/2009 9:23:41 PM | hi folks, sounds like a great time. Not sure I can make the Saturday tubing (kids) but could possibly make Sat pm.
Q #1: should we bring portable BBQs for Dinner?
Q#2: Can we bring along musical instruments (guitars, percussion etc)?
Also: it can sometimes get quite cool on the river. I recommend bringing along a fleecy or some such, just in case.
Also Also: bring along a mask. Cruising along on the bottom of the river is amazing!
Hope to see everyone there (at some point).

and.. yes ... I have a couple cameras for this event ... of the floating water-proof variety..
