Posted: 7/10/2009 3:31:55 PM | Serenity aw yes a very good thing, my pooch has been trained not to be loud and yappy, she is a definite plus when it comes to meeting and greeeting people, actually quite the little flirt, has never had complaints so far, went to Vegas with me, the flight attendants tried to kidnap her anyway she was muchbetter behaved than my 29 year old daughter!!!Anyway I am signing up for the big trip! Sounds like a hoot! | |

Posted: 7/11/2009 7:28:49 PM | Absolutely right. Another reason not bring beer cans or any cans on the river is they slip out of your hand easily and end up gone. Not to put a downer on things, but you will be shocked at the amount of crap you will see lin the river. We could and should take out more garbage than we bring in.

Colt 45 is for after the river not on.
No open booze allowed on the water apparently, with guys in boats enforcing it (wonder if they are as cute as the Coast Guard guys?) just so you know.
And I guess my compadres here think I was too batchy - BUT - bring only well behaved dogs and look after them properly and don't leave them alone while tubing and don't bring them with you while tubing and don't leave them in a hot car and this message is generic and not for the lady who kindly and most politely asked and almost got her head bitten off by an ill-behaved human but please respect my need for a stress free weekend for the most part and make sure I don't have to listen to barking whining yapping and i don't want to step on anything on the beach either...
You would never know it but I LOVE dogs and they LOVE me. (truly!) (I swear to God!)

Is definitely an Angel... and I also know Debra to be an animal lover...
My apologizes for not posting, but I was out tubing up at Puntledge this weekend and have one or two bruises to prove it...
ANYYYYWHO ... I thought it was supposed to be my turn to be the BeoTch this event... 
I have stated in three other off-line emails, that we have to take in consideration the entire group, and even the most well-behaved dogs have been known to be a weeeee bit jumpy when subjected to some of the less familiar sounds of the forest... Hell .... I still on occasion yip and whine in the night when I hear those squirrels scratching at the corners of my tent (those were squirrels, were they not????...  But enough on this subject... The concerns have been stated and the replies have been listed, which I fully support and will be the first to point out if not adhered too... and thanx to everyone for understanding our concerns on this...  You folks ROCK (verb not the noun) BTW .... I have also had two emails about why children were not allowed... and will not even venture down that road on this forum!!!!
Colt 45 ?????? Ooooooh pelllleaaase ... you know what the preference is  and it would appear that we coming pretty close to a certain prediction. 
And yes there is a crack down on alcohol consumption/littering/mischief on the river...
So.... we are not saying NO alcohol on the river... there will be more than enough opportunities while camping to partake in these refreshments if you so chose 
and last but not least .... Many Huge Welcomes the 17 new sign-ups... this is really looking to be a highly successful event... and that is all entirely due to everyone signing up...
6 more Sleeps ... 32 if you do naps ...

61 People signed up (Minus Keith who apparently only signed up his spirit  ),
and this is not counting some attending friends and others emailing their attendance.
Not to mention ... there are four more days for others to sign up... and we just
know there will be few others who were just passing by Irish Times and popped in
to see about this tubin thang ... its all good .. the more the merrier 
It gonna be a great time making new friends and memories, and remember
to pack your water proof cameras to document the good times..
And of course a Big Welcome to our last three sign ups

This was not whose signing up for who ... Sheeesh People .. 
When we decided to put on this event, I said there would be at least 60 people
signed up, and Debra thought that number to be pretty high up there... So
this was nothing more than a friendly little side wager between Hostess/Co- Host
And a Big Welcome to the newest sign-up.....
