| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/7/2009 9:15:55 PM | Amen to enough on this topic is right! But yes, Leslie, especially the Florida forum which is happily filled with strange, unique, and unusual! Got to love it! | |

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/8/2009 4:10:32 AM | The topic will go away. The words said in this thread will not go away in minds. The words said have been cruel at times without reguard to others feelings. In one post, I could respond by saying that I could care less what happens to the Pope. I'm not Catholic. So many of their priests have been convicted of molesting children that the numbers can't be totaled. Those were convictions. I'm only using them as an example of the people posting with a closed mind and only see it their way.
What I'm trying to say is that a few have opened their thoughts up in here that will always be remembered. Now, who is going to replace MJ in feeding the children in Africa?
We can let this rest and the media will let it rest soon. The "event" is over. Never let us forget the starving people around the world.

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/8/2009 4:55:48 AM | who is going to replace MJ in feeding the children in Africa? Perhaps, Madonna and Angelina will adopt all of them?
(Maybe we need a new thread, "Does money make people crazy or is it that crazy people make lots of money?)

CAJUN: Good to see you again!!!
Well - MJ is STILL dead; and guess what??
You haven't been in here (the forums) in a while, and YES - posters are STILL sometimes posting things that you (or anybody else) may consider offensive!
Cajun, that is NOT going to change! This is a FORUM on a dating site, it is not your living room with 20 of your hand-picked friends sitting around for a congenial conversation or a 2-way conversation with your signficant other!
I must say that I am sometimes 'baffled' that this type of 'admonishment' continues to be interjected from time-to-time.!
It is NOT my intention to be unkind or 'cruel' in this particular post! Furthermore, I would be the FIRST to admit, that I, too, read some posts here and am VERY offended!!!
There will ALWAYS be 'diversity' in these forums! You have been reading and participating in these forums as long as I have! I'm sure YOU have noticed as I have that, that we have our : instigators; our complainers; our comedians; our peace-makers; our conservatives; our radicals, etc.!!!!
That's what MAKES it interesting..............and I 'dare' say; WHY we ALL continue to 'tune-in' to the forums!!!
and, CAJUN - I always am pleased to see YOU again!!!

Well said Leslie.
I find diversity every where I go. In my family, my job, my friends, my community. I accept diversity...it is what makes us all different. There is good and bad in everyone, it's what you want to see and what you make of it. I don't always agree with everyone on the forums....but I am willing to read their opinions. As Leslie has stated the forums are not a selected group of friends sitting around your kitchen table. However even among my friends…We all may some of the same core values…which are why we are friends, but we don’t always agree in our opinion or choices one makes in life.

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/8/2009 8:55:00 AM | Leslie, you are correct that I have not been in here in some time. I've been watching the postings of nothing much for about 3 months. Nothing of value has been posted. Of course, I bow down to you because you have been posting for what??? 2 years?? Seems I've been posting for about 4 or 5 years. Still have the same name as when I started way back when. Seen them come and go and see the people that just have to make a comment no matter what the subject is. They even comment when they know nothing about the subject, but, just mouth off.
I waited till it was appropriate for me to speak my mind. You don't see me posting in all the threads just to be seen. I've had a conversation with one other poster here and I think she now sees what I'm talking about. Everything is a joke even when it's associated with somebody's death. Yes, look at the posts. Go back and look at all of the threads except those inviting people to a POF party. This thread is the only serious thread and logical thread. The OP stated that he was tired of seeing the news of MJ. I respect that.

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/9/2009 8:50:12 PM | For those of you that have had your fill of Micheal Jackson being front and center in the news now for fourteen days, you may as well unplug those communication devices until human curiosity has found a new focus of attention. What I find disturbing are those who are capitalizing on his death. Programs from his memorial service are selling for hundreds of dollars on E-bay. The perimeter of the staples center was chock- ful of venders selling Tshirts, bejeweled gloves , and all kinds of memorabilia. The carnival atmostphere appeared to be very prevalent in contrast to solemn occassion. I did watch the memorial service and was deeply moved . Jermaine singing "smile", Brooke Sheilds recollection of her beloved friend, and sweet little Paris proclaiming to the world how much she loved her daddy. Al Sharpton's comments to the children tugged at my heart strings. "I want his children to know there was nothing strange about your daddy, it was strange what your daddy had to deal with."
MJ's children have never had a life of normalacy by our standards , but they were loved deeply by their father. Yes he is their father , biology does not make a father. God knows there are hoardes of terrible parents raising their biological children ( I make mention of this in reference to poster who mentioned that the children are not his) The children are older now and they will feel the sting from hateful comments made about their father. The worst is yet to come as they become pawns in a custody battle. To those who continue to malign this man in death should look inside themselves and wonder why this is so satisfying to them. Why is it easier for you to be judge and jury about a man you only know though the media ?, Why not explore the notion that this is a man who may have been falsely accused for capital gain? Micheal Jackson the entertainer by the nature of his celebrity belongs to all of us. Do keep in mind that a family is devastated by the loss of their beloved family member. This family has to grieve with the eyes of the world upon them.

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/10/2009 9:58:26 AM | Well said Dove. I didn't watch the service, however I did watch CNN and the highlights of the service, and it put tears in my eyes.
MJ's children have never had a life of normalcy by our standards , but they were loved deeply by their father. Yes he is their father , biology does not make a father. God knows there are hoardes of terrible parents raising their biological children ( I make mention of this in reference to poster who mentioned that the children are not his) The children are older now and they will feel the sting from hateful comments made about their father.
I agree 100% biology does NOT make a father, or a mother for that fact. It may make you a biological parent, but being a father or mother is so much more!!!! MJ was human...not a superhuman...his children are human too. I think it was good he tried to keep them out of the spot light...for a chance of normalcy in life...something MJ never had since childhood, both inside and outside the home. I pray for his children...I pray the circus of some people do not take away from the life they so deserve. If more people took the time to help children, they may grow up to be better adults. I agree there are hoards of terrible parents raising their biological children. Funny for many of us our hearts go out to them as children…when they grow up, and are not normal we are so quick to judge how weird they are. MJ, his family, his children they are all humans….just like we are.
In the words of Whitney Huston.: I believe the children are our future Teach them well and let them lead the way Show them all the beauty they possess inside Give them a sense of pride to make it easier …
Isn’t that one of the many jobs we have as a parent. Isn’t this also one the jobs of our communities, to help children, especially when there is no real parents to be there for them.
One small way to contribute to the children of MJ…let the children be proud of their Dad.

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/11/2009 4:52:32 AM | I checked this morning and CNN is reporting that he is still dead. I think he must be waiting until August, when there are no other holidays, he will rise from the dead and release a remake of Thriller. CNN will declare him Saint Michael, patron saint of the children, and they will celebrate a new holiday, MJ Easter, every year with a 24-hour special about his life. It will likely be sponsored by a pain killer medication.
(Enough!! Please stop the MJ "news". They actually had on an interview yesterday with someone that had once cut his hair. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/11/2009 5:03:16 AM | | Bob, I hate to inform you of one outstanding problem with this thought. Yes, enough is enough for some of us, but, for the millions of people that buy USAToday and tune into CNN for hours, we are a drop in the bucket. Get used to it LOL | |

| Michael Jackson Is Still Dead Posted: 7/12/2009 8:58:06 PM | Some think Michael Jackson is alive. I'm no conspiracy buff, but this is quite convincing...

Let the charges, trials and law suits begin.
