Hey Daffie ^^^. thanks for compliment - thats me at work yesterday driving all the WA dockers /weagle supporters insane with my gloating !!!

Dont you worry abut not having any blue and white in your closet...you will be buying a 2009 Premiers Cats T shirt on Monday and you will be wearing that with pride...!!!

Velvet...the only reason you got coverage over here for the Eagles/Sydney game was because the Weagles were playing in it..much harder when two Victorian teams are playing....like I said Im grateful we are even getting coverage of the GF !!! god I hope we are..nothing would surprise me with Channel 10 -

Yeah Geelongs not a bad place..the problem is located in Victoria...too bloody cold !!! but we have the most awesome footy team and thats all that matters....3 more sleeps !!!

Lets hope there is some good umpiring in the grand final. I think the umpiring this year in general has been pitiful. I don't blame the umpires themselves so much, it's the rules they have been given that makes it very difficult.

I'm a full on Saints supporter but I got to say, I think the Bulldogs were robbed in the preliminary final against the Saints due to poor umpiring. The Pies Cats game was worse. The pies got totally shafted by the umpires in the first half. Ablett & Selwood must be sucking c0cks 'cause they seen to be untouchable by the umpy's. That Selwood gets so many "high contact" free kicks. If there's a duck your head rule then there should be a drop down in the tackle rule as well.

The "prior opportunity" rule is the worst rule ever. If as a player, you are going to be tackled immediately after receiving the ball, you punch or tap the ball on to a team mate instead. The rules recognise this in ruck duels but not in general play, just rediculous.

I started playing Aussie rules when I was 4 y/o & have been a Saints supporter for longer than I can remember, can't remember 66 grand final & I had to work during the the 97 GF. I'm so pumped for Saturday, it's "All Saints Day"
Saints will win by 3 goals & Lenny Hayes will get the Norm Smith & Gary Ablett will cry like a sooky baby, just like he did when Geelong lost to the Saints in round 17

^^I agree! Football seems to be a bit "precious" these days, the good old fashioned bump and wrestles seem to be a thing of the past. Selwood has become a master at manipulating his body in a tackle to cause high contact, its a less obvious version of "ducking your head" and he seems to get away with it more than any other player in the AFL. Put away that stupid wrestling rule, hands in the back, and bring some roughness/toughness back into the game.....the crowd loves to see the melee, it makes the game more exciting and intense.

I really feel for the dogs, its a shame they went out in the prelim again. Having said that the Saints have proven themselves as a genuine premiership chance and I hope they take down the cats this weekend. Is anyone else surprised that Riewoldt didn't win the MVP award and polled so badly for the Brownlow? He is BY FAR the most valuable and best player this season!

St Kilda - Dempster in for Eddy - good move; I like how Dempster plays and he has grand final experience at the Swans

Geelong -no change

2 sleeps to go - tomorrow is the Grand Final Parade where I get to bring in my flag to work and totally act my age

Thats very gracious Rob and very true...naturally I hope we thrash the shite out of you tomorrow but at the end of the day I hope for a good game, fair umpiring, a great contest and may the best team win ..and I do believe that the best two teams are there (yes I would have liked the Doggies to have gotten up but maybe next year) and yes it is still the greatest game of all.........and may it remain so !!!!

Good Luck to St Kilda...........................but Catters...........BRING IT ON HOME BOYS ...BRING IT ON HOME !!!!

I'm hoping for a good, clean, fair & close game tomorrow. When I put my unbiased hat on, I can't pick a winner. The Cats are strong favourites to win but I really think it could go either way. I hoping, like I've never hoped before, that the Saints can do it (win).

My son plays in his soccer GF tomorrow, so it will be a full on day. Luckily there's no clash. His team has come from 4th so it's been a great effort to make the GF.

Cheers to Max Hudghton, Robert Harvey & Matty Maguire you guys are still part of the success so far.

Go the SAINTERS

Wnt to the Grand Final Parade todat (work is on Cillins Street so just had to leave and there I was). Teh Saints boys look good and calm.

Looks like a wet game tomorrow - which I think will aid the Saints as they prefer a low scoring game.

Go Sainters!!

^^^ I think the wet will suit the cats. They see heaps of it at Skilled Stadium & besides Saints have played under the roof most of the year plus they rely on their tall marking forward like Rooey & Cosi. But we will still win.

I'm getting butterflies already.

here's my tip for the losing fans... who ever they are...

being an afternoon game...instead of going home and drowning your sorrows about a season gone...

slip across town to watch the night game.. the major RL semi between Qld Broncos and your Melbourne Storm.... it should be a cracker.... the winner will play Parra in the GF...
get a few beers into you, shout and scream for a bit of Vic pride.... instead of dwelling of what might have been earlier in the arvo..

oh,and hope that you don't go home two time losers if the Broncos get up.....

all the more reason to go and barrack for the storm ,eh?....

a good many league fans up here will be watching in to your game for sure....

.. not being a fence sitter... I'll be on the Saints.... seeing as St Kilda is the home of RockWiz.. ...

nice sentiments beachippy...

but i'm afraid a win or a loss isn't going to make any difference at all to me...

happy?
...or shattered?

either way,

tomorrow night i'm going to get p*ssed!

I discovered that the Grand Final is on tomorrow when I overheard someone mention it today.
Great! It'll be nice and quiet when I go shopping tomorrow arvo and I should be able to get a good parking spot right close to the entrance.

But for all you footy followers, have a nice time rooting, or whatever it is you do, for your team.

Over in the West....sunny day (YAY !!!) and zero atmosphere.....cause they havent got a team in from over here....so they dont care !!!! .......the tosser shocker Dockers in a GF - yeah Id like to see that

RobW^^^ if your Sainters are any good...they wont need God on their side (btw he played for Geelong anyway and his son still does...he won that thing called the Brownlow during the week out polling St Nick !!!...) ....you would want to win on skill and talent alone..wouldnt you ?

So roll on 12.20pm - 2.20pm....ah to be back home today opposite the Kitty stadium..never thought Id say this but I miss Geelong (today only) ..yeah I do.....so boys bring it back home...we know Hawthorn only pretended last year......all is forgiven......you know where that Holy Grail belongs...!!!
