| over 35 southern alberta campout at Fort Macleod Sept 4 ,5 6,7 Posted: 9/3/2009 9:13:53 PM | ok the panty hose issue needs to talked about ...i scuba dive and surf the long board . in hawaii the box jelly fish and portugese man o war are always floating around the inlets and longboarders move at least a mile off the surf line and work the swells that boil into the pipes that the short boards work and then end up on the boogie board or body surfers. it is the long boys that always wear panty hose because the stingers on the jelly fish are not long enough to defeat the width of the nylon fibre which is measured in micrometers...hence when i surf ........i wear panty hose as do the lifeguards in south africa australia and new zeland. i also wear them scuba diving because it makes putting on and removeing a wet suit very easy as opposed to a complete and utter struggle after a dive . when you are wet a vacume is created and the water tension makes removal very hard . with nylons its like takeing of a pair of loose fitting pants...i prefer reinforced toes because i just never have time for a pedicure and i cut through the ones called sandlefoot. to the boys sandlefoot is so a lady can wear open toed shoes with the nylons shapeing and smoothing the lines of her leg . the cotton gusset on a guy is cut open to allow lateral movement without hurting himself. so for tjm i would like a size eight medium brown with a reinforced toe and a cotton gusset .......i would never wear red in the ocean ..... red means welcome and anything a mile off the north beach can only mean trouble.....yaaaa i know lots about panty hose ..and i say down with pantyhose .. ........i am so gonna let my hair down ........yippekyaaa..see ya | |

Opened a bottle of wine with the neighbors earlier once I decided not to leave tonight in the wind storm. Wow tjm sure knows a lot about panty hose.... At least I do not have to replenish my stock in the trailer. It is ready to go.. Red Bra packed! Unsure what is going to happen with it.. LOL.. Glad that everyone looks like they help others out! Should be a fun (maybe scary) weekend. One more sleep...
Warning--- If someone falls asleep in their lawn chair you never know what your face will look like when you wake up..
Cheers.. | |

| over 35 southern alberta campout at Fort Macleod Sept 4 ,5 6,7 Posted: 9/4/2009 5:16:49 AM | dddiesel...I was wondering how this may all present itself to the 'new campers' that are sitting on the fence about coming, and realize this may look pretty ominous if you are a wee bit on the introverted side..I know reading posts before attending MY first campout (which I believe was the second campout, three years ago), made me scratch my head, and say "you can always leave if they are as nuts as they appear to be"...or "think of the fun you will be missing if you DON'T go!"..so I went, and keep coming back...
Camper2....I have a tent pole, rod thingy that is a bendy one...and need someone to hold one end in the ground so I can bend it to get in the other side...its a dome tent..but if gets too chilly, I will be whimpering outside all the trailer doors, scratching to be let inside...lol..
pantyhose...not any less conspicuous than red long johns with shorts, I suspect....tee hee...
Been up an hour before I normally am to go to WORK!! sheesh! will pack up the rest of the food and gear once there is DAYLIGHT!!
Can hardly wait....its just HOURS now...

| over 35 southern alberta campout at Fort Macleod Sept 4 ,5 6,7 Posted: 9/4/2009 6:14:43 AM | woohoo? what does ominous mean? and introverted? your showing a side we never seen before with these big words ,just say it scared the crap out of you instead of sugar coating it lmao we are harmless, well some of us are! its all about the fun if you meet your dream great and if you don't you will make many friends as i have over the years ( i think) so come on out, Pepper100 sorry to hear about the accident and we will see you at the spring campout ! | |

dd...perhaps the brain is in work mode still...and thought sugar coating would work for the fence hangers...lol...
OK..time to get a move on...I think the neighbours are awake enough so they can handle any 'words' they may hear through their windows as I finish loading...will be making a lunch stop in Cowtown....

| over 35 southern alberta campout at Fort Macleod Sept 4 ,5 6,7 Posted: 9/4/2009 7:16:31 AM | A person does not have to worry about not getting any help setting up ones tent! there is a whole crew that jump into action at the smallest sign of a damsel in distress. I have helped MANY setup their tent and I do not have a suit of armor (Although that might not be a bad idea) but then I would have to worry about can openers and the indiscriminate use of said device. Nor do I have a white horse, all I have is a goofy tiny black and white dog who could be mistaken for a gopher with a gland problem. For all those fence sitters good points have been made to take a chance join this fun bunch and have a great time, and not to worry some harmless folks like myself have extra beds in their trailers so people have a WARM place to sleep and no "HOT ROCKS" needed (by the way the rocks do not last the night and by 3 am you are not a happy camper) I am distressed by unhappy campers that is NO FUN! | |

| over 35 southern alberta campout at Fort Macleod Sept 4 ,5 6,7 Posted: 9/4/2009 9:43:28 AM | Hmm worried about HOT ROCKS and AIR MATTRESSES???? they worked just fine for me last time I used them! As I have stated prior on here... just make sure that they are wrapped in a towel (or 2) and they will keep you toasty warm all night long... hmmm well if you concised 3 am... until 9 am all night long! But... mine was still warm when I heard the call that coffee was ready! And in Elkwater it was COOOOOOOOOOOLD... you could see your breathe at night!( and the rain didn't help much either!) Ok off to make a batch of Potato salad.... fruit/ jello is done... ( yup dessert!) just have to toss some clothes in the motorhome.... and wait for ( onehot 51 to get home) then we are on our way..... YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
