| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 8/9/2006 7:13:45 PM | Them jerks on TV ain't real wrestlers, they is ALL FAKES, they hollar and scream at each other, then "Beat each other up" and then ALL get back on the same bus and go to the airport as one big happy family knowin' that they just screwed an arena full of suckers outta their hard earned dough.. But, as far as them dudes go, on TV now, I'd probably say that Michael Hickenbottom, Chris Jericho, and mebbe Adam Copeland are great at makin' it LOOK like they are beatin' people up with them plastic chairs and all the rest of the lightweight flimsy stage props they use!!

Oh, and may I say that you are a great role model to all of us who want to watch real athletes. I mean, really, NASCAR, IHRA, Street Rods, Drag Racing. All those athletes there that you support. Such a wonderful rolemodel for us. I'm glad that people who drive cars are athletes. :P

| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 8/14/2006 9:41:12 PM | | I had said Shawn Michaels before but now after reading his autobiography, I'm a little jaded.. feel like a fool for believing in some of the things I treasured so much about him. I'm still a fan... but maybe not as hardcore as before. | |

| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 8/27/2006 12:02:29 PM | I'm going to go against the grain and choose who would the greatest be in terms of a "shoot" match (a real wrestling contest which sometimes happens in pro wrestling, even today). 1. Lou Thesz - could of been an MMA fighter if they had it then. Would've made Kurt Angle tap out no question.
2. (Judo) Gene Labelle - Was a promotor in LA, and mainly sold other wrestlers when he would don the tights and wrestle as the masked "Hangman". He was also a stunt man and got in a scuffle with Steven Segal and basically handed him his ass. He was probably in his 70's at the time. He also was involved in UFC training.
3. Verne Gagne - Clean cut former Minnesota QB. But a bad mutha!
4. Tim Woods (Mr. Wrestling) - He beat Bruno Sammartino in a gymn shoot match. That's no knock on Bruno who's also a bad dude.
5. Kurt Angle/Brad Rheingans (toss-up) - Too outstanding amatuer wrestlers turned pro.

| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/4/2006 11:47:07 PM | The best wrestler of all time and the best wrestler alive is......... MR. TECHNICAL BARRY HOROWITZ | |
|
| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/5/2006 5:28:37 AM | I checked out a site with regards to the best wreslters of last century.
I remember the top 4
4th place came Bret "The Hitman" Hart
3rd- Andre "the Giant"
2nd- "Nature Boy" Ric Flair
1st- "The Immortal" Hulk Hogen
Undertaker I think was 20th, Lex Luger 19th, Sting and Shawn Micheals were in the top 15, Bob Backlund was in the top ten. I am surprised on this one but Goldberg....He was 73rd. I thought Goldberg what have been in the top 30 easy or even top 25 or top 20
Kevin Nash was I think somewhere in the 50th places
|
| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/5/2006 6:23:11 AM | | hulk hogan can't wrestle neither could andre. undertaker, golberg, luger, etc non wrestling guys. backlund and flair could wrestle but there must be atleast 30 guys better than flair. | |
|
| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/5/2006 6:27:30 AM | Flair is not a good wrestler either. He makes it lok like it. But remember many people get a wrist lock and a wrist WATCH mixed up easily, don't let it fool you. Backlund seemed to have more skills at his prime.
Hogan and Andre were just great to watch and impressive to look at and I think thats what helped them get to the spot they have. Hulk in addition had alot of charisma and his unmatched presense when he goes to the ring and all he has done for wrestling and the fans and even people lives.
|
| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/5/2006 3:25:24 PM | | I think " THE ROCK " was easily the best guy with a microphone in his hand. He has unparallelled charisma IMO. | |
|
| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/5/2006 5:19:43 PM | Any smartmark knows that the best wrestler who ever laced up the boots was Hulk Hogan.
Is he the best technical wrestler? Not even close.
Does he have the best mic skills? Nah. Rowdy Roddy Piper and a slew of others has him beat there.
Does he move well in the ring? Is he agile? Frankly, no, Not at all!
Hogan has charisma that just can't be matched. There are so many great wrestlers that have come and gone since Hogan came on the scene but like I said, they are gone.
Ric Flair is a close second but all the other greats really can't match what Hogan did for the "sport."
For the record, Superstar Billy Graham was my favorite wrestler as a child. Quite possibly the greatest heel of all-time...but that is just MY opinion.

| Best Pro Wrestler of all time Posted: 9/6/2006 2:58:46 AM | I realize that wrestling is scripted. However, these men put their lives on the line to entertain us.
I think that Mick Foley is the best pro wrestler of all time. This is especialy true when he was 'Cactus Jack.'
As of right now, the best wrestler is Mr. Jeff Hardy. He is hardcore and his TLC matches are the best. Welcome back Jeff. ~Carrie B.
