Almost every man would rather marry a virgin. No baggage they get to be "the first". There are some men out there that only want to date virgins. Its like trophey hunting. Gotta get that prize. Because they know you always remember ur first.
Used to date single dad's before I had my lil one. I have no problem with single dad's only dead beat dads. | |

I have been here for him his entire 9 years of life doing what I have to to take care of him. My ex left him at the age of 4 never calls or anything. She left him to go back to a place where she got the c**p beat out of her and everytime I see her people praise her for being a mommy not a good mommy just for being a mommy. There is no double standard on this one you've just seen or experienced the one side. | |

To be honest, I still get completely shocked when I hear about a woman doing what your ex did. However, I never thought the guy kidnapped the kid or took him away from his child's mother who wanted him.

Posted: 7/19/2009 5:29:19 AM | I think that sleeping_beauty has a good point, too many people get trapped into thinking in absolutes like guys don't like women with kids, women don't like guys with kids but the truth is that every woman is different. Some don't mind guys with kids, some do. It doesn't matter if they are single parents or not.
If they aren't interested, just move on and even though it may take longer to find someone than if you didn't have kids, it's all just part of the journey.

I have never been the type to not date someone because they do have kids. My mother on the other hand told me not to date a guy who has kids. She says its so much extra work. My mother was a single parent of three kids so that never made any scence to me. If a women cares for you she will love you and your kids and become apart of the buisyness.lol If not then what do they say theres always plenty of fish in the see.lol | |

I have to say WTF with you. I am a single mother, after I read all of your forums. I hope and pray the mother has custody of your children. For one, have you looked in a mirror lately? If not, you are a perfect canidate for a CRACK HEAD! Second, you degrade your ex on line like you do. I hope you don't run your mouth about her in front of the kids. That will haunt you. Your kids will grow up to be haters like you. Degrade their mother, degrade whomever they grow up to love or like in life if they can't get their ways and act childish like you have.

Men my age without kids want to have their own, so they are dating women 10 years younger. Men my age with kids often have teenagers, and they are not keen on "starting over" with a mom with a preschooler. | |

I can only speak for myself, but it's something about a man who has his own kids...this is basically from a far away point of view, until I get a chance to know more about him and how he treats his kids. But I have no problems dating one simply because he knows and understands certain things that childless men don't. A major turn off though, is a man who has alot of kids by different women and have the "baby momma" drama.  | |

I agree. Most of the guys I meet don't have any children and do usually want to have them in the future. That was my personally issue with my ex, didn't have any and wanted one in the future, but I know I didn't want anymore and couldn't have anymore, so I guess I sort of sabotage the relationship in my own head...by looking too far in the future. Oh well. | |
