Might be an INTERESTING task and SOMEONE has to do it.
Back to 2012 - saw a program on national geographic yesterday. Looking towards 2024. There we will have bases on the moon in order to take off from to explore other planets; there will be solar panels laid out in which energy will be transmitted back to earth via microwaves and since half of the moon is always facing the sun, they say it would give us unlimited electricity; there will be space hotels and resorts on the moon where you can stay. My question is this. We went to the moon back in the 60's, but have really done nothing with it all this time. Did the space race go bust because we did what we set out to do (land on the moon) or did it go bust due to lack of funds??? | |

Diane that is a good question. Hmmm...makes you wonder "unlimited electricity", wouldn't a lot of major power companies be against that? How do they exclusively harness that and make money?
Amazingly the Mayan people knew the Sun was the center of the solar system, they built their SUN pyramid in the center of their other pyramids to mimic the solar system. LOL so did the ancient greeks and others, but it wasn't widely accepted until the 1800's.
Simple battery packs were found in the pyramids of Egypt. Most scholars believe it was for electro plating, however they were an energy source used by Egyptians in some form.
Seems the human race is sometimes resistant to technology, science and knowledge due to beliefs, religion, politics and money since BC. | |

Now, I don't want to get into a religious discussion here but interesting concept.
As far as harnessing all the energy. Hmmmmm in 2024, either the power companies will be the ones putting solar panels on the moon or perhaps the government will take control of all utilities. It was certainly an interesting program. My question was, if the power gathered from the solar panels are sent as microwaves to earth, what would keep something from being hit by the beam and exploding. They mentioned that an Airplane for instance would not be affected because of its hull. What they didn't say was what about humans, animals or other foreign objects??? | |

LOL I agree also whole heartily that I don't want to get into religious discussions here, but I do like learning ALL the different theories. Very interesting!!
LOL, now being hit by a beam of microwaves would be an "ouch" to say the least. Also they would need to keep it out of the hands of terrorists, couldn't it be used as a weapon too? I'm sure they would have to find a way to store it safely and then generate it into usable power. Actually I haven't seen that program yet. Sounds interesting. | |

If I may, I'd like to add a few thoughts. I have done a lot of research into 2012 and the Mayan calendar...created several webpages, a forum and over 40 YouTube videos on the subject.
One of the things that fascinates me the most is how other indigigenous cultures also have a 2012 end date/correlation, such as the Egyptian's star chart, China's I-Ching, the Aztec's sun stone, the Hindu's Kali Yuga, etc... What are the odds that other people from different continents would all have the same end date of 12-21-2012?
Our solar system is currently going through a dramatic climate change. Many surmise that as our solar system alings with the galactic center of the Milky Way Galaxy, we are being bathed by an energetic force. Some people, (such as Gregg Braden) would say this is from incoming energies from the Photon Belt.
I've studied the actual Mayan prophecies from the Popul Vuh, the Dresden codices and from the Chilam Balam... none of these state that 2012 will be cataclysmic. The only prophecy that has come to fruition, comes from the Popol Vuh, in which (through metaphors) states that ego would become predominate toward the end of the calendar.
The Mayans were obsessed about time and their calendar is much more accurate than any other calendar ever created. To this day, their calendar can predict every lunar eclipse within 30 seconds. Many believe we'll transcend time at the end of the calendar. To understand what this means, think about when you dream... you never seem to know what day it is or what time it is in your dreams. Hence, if we transcend time, we also transcend money because without time, there is no work "week".
The Hindu's believe the Golden Age will begin after the Kali Yuga. It's kinda funny (in an ironic way) that the banks are collapsing at a time where money needs to be dissolved for the Golden Age to begin. Coincidence? That's for you to decide... :) | |

That is interesting, I never knew that. I also find it interesting how they also build similar buildings/pyramids, yet were oceans across from each other, not like they "chatted" with each other to share ideas!!

Didn't our solar system align with the center of the galaxy about 25, 800 years ago? Has any geologist been able to trace what kind of changes the earth may have seen then? Hope the hell it is a "good" energy. | |
